01. Konkylie - bikini lagune
... a laguna wave introducing me to the new Yggdrasil game, started again by local norgwegian Konkylie project. beginning with a deeeeeep rolling baseline and weird sounds flirring around i know what i am up to now. the first big atmo creeps in and right apart scatteres away again. with the radio beside quacking i already settled back and created a cosy surrounding on the laguna and anxiously await my travel. and a travel from beginning it is .. i left my deckchair before a third of the track and wobble with this thick beat forward into its wonderfull blazoned leads beside. a real catcher and for sure one of this kind "heads-up-and-cut-furrows-on-the-floor" tracks .. what a starter!
02. Loke - expand horizon
... in my words to the first part of the series i hailed Loke and expected great stuff in the future. here we have a noticable progress to strike and a wonderful psychedelic goodie he prepared. plumpy spirals building a massive psychedelic dome always spiked with lots of sounds .. strechted atmospheres coming in from all sides. it is faster as it feels ..  .. and the naiv dominant sound around 4:30 min. with this bewitching voice, he uses before already in some track, is superb and shows sense of humour in my eyes. spooky looong expanded sounds make it weird, especially with these many little pricking sounds coming up eternaly. i am very happy to see the more sober build up and andvanced mix of elements in Lokes work. the tracks fit better together, interacting with each other and form a logic story. again looking forward for more, i know this project will give us more. very great track.
03. Helan & Halvan - gnomen
... here Krussedull and Alter Egon forming a new project what fits in the concept of this second part of the series quit smart. the whole track i have this imagination the gnome speaks to me and the squeezy sounds alternate with organic ripples coming up and down in spirals. a friendly tripper with many turns of knobs, in and out, as i usually ask for. never gets boring even there is no real climax in this track, it just has the feeling of kicks and tabs in the very right moment to move you forward withs pumpy groove and a smooth atmospheric carpet is pleasing me. very good playful tripper track!
04. Krussedull - whiskeyjack
... Alf, one head of the Yggdrasil crew in his solo project has again an awsome playful track to participate with. he has the feeling to mix playful massive acidsounds with an even cheesy melody but not loosing the view of the mystic psychedelic part of the game, turns in back to the wall of little percolating sounds to follow in point of the moment. an amazing track to play in every psychedelic set, morning as nighttime tool. very handy psychedelic candy! with a very catchy traktor-groove and it seems he manages it so damn easily to turn from one part to the other and suddenly you have this plethora of rippling sounds in front that just a phat smile leaves behind. super track i notice the effort he put into it!
05. Hutti Heita - indianer
... one of my favorite projects for longer time now. the heads of the labelcrew have the Hutti Heita project developed in their skills each track i taste and this is no exception from my expectations. it starts with some indianer chants and keeps you tight in mystic arms while whobbeling apart with this deep catchy breakbeats becoming a rolling groove later on. walls of liquid seem to paralyze me and a surrealistic atmosphere pierced by weird sounds thrills all along. thick lines always with the right touch of percussive elements move me forward and soon i am thrown out of this tight embracement to a deep psychotrip ... wonderful track.
06. Purosurpo - more to it (version 2)
... Jens, one half of the Derango combo is no unknown name anymore in his Purosurpo project, as he already has a few releases on wellknown places. and if you are an attentive listener you will easily notice the derango finesse Jens shows in his solo project. and here you will easily detect his hands working. oldschoolish sounds and wonderful long streched atmospheres with the right touch for the turn at the knobs in time. throwing you from left to right without becoming unserious. thats derangoish forest style! he is able to build more than one climax to a track and always have you by the hand to guide you to the next step. and if you feel slightly it becomes too much he dashes you to his bonus level, its simply awsome. so much to tell, give me more of such stories please.
07. Troglodytes - no isolated archetypes
... the swedish artist had already the one or other release and contributes his view on northern forest psychedelics. it starts with a fast rolling groove and sharp sounds rippling out. very deep baseline dominates the whole track and has its monotonous aspects in the beginning. but becomes a more sober trip with its duration. the long break is not neccessary in my little opinion. a powerful track but for me in comparison to the rest on this release a decent one cause i miss this playful attitude of trickles and bubbles the rest of the disc is distinguished with. not my favorite here, nonetheless a good track.
08. Freeform Syndicate - roar like thunder
... formerly known as Loke and Alter Egon they formed this project and presenting their debut release. woody base and spooky atmosphere from beginning, a more calm track, like something you plug in if you sit on your roof terrace to watch the sky with. seeing falling stars passing the view. not too thrilling but not boring too its fitting very good to the whole idea of the disc as a whole story in 9 parts. me personally dont like the titlesample but the leads right after, fusing to a scary deep mushroomy bubble, are very great. for a short moment i felt lost in this bubble and enjoyed a lot. nice trip!
09. Kanka - supreme being
... the ending track is again a pearl and for me the best tune i heard for a long time. it has a integrative story to tell, builds up so damn lovely and with a smart turn it throws you higher on a wave of psychedelics. tracks like this i would allow to have a duration over 15 or even 20 minutes to have time for a tricky build up and a thrilling stretch to an even more intense climax. in a way it reminds me on older parasense work, this also has the very sensitive feeling for a kinda understatement groove but so damn powerfull that it catches you by the head and catapults you further into it. the only thing i feel to complain with, is the mastering of it .. you will notice it in the bass which not comes up as clear as the track deserves it. nevertheless a squeamish mix of elements forming a monstrous psychedelic atmosphere and as i mentioned in the beginning, this is a real pearl will stuck in mind for ages, most definitely off the hook. almost perfect track for me. thx for the music!!!

The disc is distinguished by this deep rolling powerfull baseline and massive groove every lover of psychedelic forest trance will be catched by from beginning. its stylewise an even more homogeneous line up than the first part of the series and the sound is also much more sophisticated made, more sensitive mixed and for my taste better mastered by Tim Schuldt than he did with the first part, even he seemed not taking care of the last track properly .. except the last track, most definitely stands out for me here, this disc presents me a huge opulence of sounds and effects never gets boring even after numerous tastes in a row. always thrilling, this disc has so many playful attitdues to discover here and there, tons of sounds to find out and it stunnes me sometimes while listening. i am still finding new gimmicks each ride. every artist was taking part in the first part and appears here again has a real step in production to register. these dudes in norway need big respect for their work, cause the main line up is made up by the Yggdrasil crew themselves, and for their excellent taste in psychedelic forest trance. the cover is a sort of remix of the first part, so fits also to a series i hope they will make a trilogy of it. so this is my opinion on their recent work and i just can recommend this disc again to everybody and go out purchase it immediately before its sold out.
