Following the second ‘Irresisitble Meltdown’ compilation out earlier this year, Plusquam Records now has a new surprise in store. Preparing for an energetic summer of trance and dance, we have carefully selected some of the funkiest progressive trance cuts around right now. Featuring some popular names from previous Plusquam releases and several new licensings, WIDESCREEN gives you the full scope, with superb productions by leading artists in the scene. The Swiss duo PASTE give the start up for this compilation. The long breaky intro of their track SMASH IT leads over to a groover with rockin’ synth riffs. Mixing a blend of uplifting, percussion driven trance stompers with warped sound effects and memorable synths themes, the tracks of SHAMAN, TICON, TEGMA and VIBRASPHERE are building the uplifting part of the CD. In the second part we go a bit more progressive and funky with the compositions of BUZZ vs SYMPHONIX, SENSIFEEL and BITMONX vs. ANTIX, before another Swiss duo, ABSOLUT & BLADE, known from their releases on SOG Records, leave us behind in peace with their wonderful groovy morning tune OUTPOST. This building and expanding collection of progressive music, has some of the finest breakdowns we are likely to hear this summer, so be prepared to hear these tracks on heavy rotation on selected dancefloors near you.

ok, after 3-4 times i heard it i can say u all its a another brilliant from Plusquam / Mapusa Laureth Mapusa gang.
Paste give realy outstanding rythmic full of percussion (this time more in logic order) and killer bassline.
Ticon come with smashing morning trance.
Vibrasphere again groove and smooth us, sucessfuly.
Buzz and Symphonix its a highlight. funky, psychedelic morning trance. amazing pads work.
Bitmonx and Antix as u can expect make a dancefloor bomb.
Absolut and Blade another fav of mine, very smoothy progressive house, its a summer time.
this cd cover very nice a taste of Laureth dj sets, energetic progressive psy trance for a morning hours.

I'm glad I have this one. Really great, brilliant, groovy, ass-shaking stuff, perfect for the beginning of the summer. Makes my mind wonder and think of whats to come...  just a few weeks more before my vacations!!
All tracks are brilliant but I must make a reference to Paste, Shaman, Buzz vs Symphonix and Bitmonx vs Antix. These are the standouts for me. Can´t wait for Antix album. Any updates on this one?
By the way, someone should make a review in the proper section... |

very interesting compilation for sure .. although I do not really like the
Tegma track , silly samples really destroy the build-up .
BITMONX vs ANTIX is extremely awesome , very deep atmosphere , a smashing groove injection ...
