Tanmaurk is the first name for denmark which appear on the biggest of the runic stones located in jellingen,denmark the biggest of the stones is dated back to 965and was ordered by King Harald Bluetooth which has just been baptized and in order to mark the arrival of a new order and a new age, he commanded the construction of a rune stone
The runestone has three sides of which two are decorated with images. On one side, there is an animal which is the prototype of the runic animals which would be commonly engraved on runestones, and on another side there is Denmark's oldest depiction of Jesus. Shortly after this stone had been made, something happened in Scandinavia's runic tradition. Scores of chieftains and powerful Norse Clans consciously tried to imitate King Harald, and from Denmark a runestone wave spread northwards through Sweden. In most districts, the fad died out after a generation, but in the central Swedish provinces of Uppland and Sôdermanland the fashion lasted into the 12th century.
The stone are considered to be Denmarks birth certificate

Wonderful, looking forward to download it tonight, and swing it into action. I've heard the Lauge/Baba Gnohm track a dozen times already - and that's highly recommended.
I love the name of the compilation, as well as the background story of our shared history and culture that goes with it.

I'm really enjoying this compilation. The following three tracks are hitting the spot for me at the moment:
Søvnigt Sind - Sami Soul Flight
Senzar - Rainbow Child
Confusion - Instant Stability
I'm loving the darker flavour to them. The Lauge & Baba Gnohm track is real nice too.
Not sure if it is just me or not, by Wombatmusic - Moderate Stimulation sounds like it isn't as loud as the other tracks, or isn't as punchy or dynamic (if that makes sense). Still like it tho.
A greak follow on from Amber Gold of the North. Thanks a lot!
