Vantara Vichitra Records brings to us their debut release in ' Schismatic Transposition '. with a collection of quality artists from all over earth,this release is a collection of well defined night forest sounds which have been hand picked by the vantra vichitra crew to trancepose a well formed sonic structure constructed masterfully by the artists with their exceptional colorfull sonic designs to make all of us stomp on the dancefloor. as the cd slowly unfolds,it reveals a definate purpose of being compiled using the various talented artists by the vantra vichitra crew and tactifully realised.
the coverart is a world of fishy lifeforms and multidimentional creatures getting together for the night time proccedings,nicely made by cacofonix. all tracks chromed and mastered in the solid hands of tim schuldt.
*captain kirk starts off with 'zim's intervention'..drippy track with lots of early night starter sounds, with all the forest sounds creaking,opening,closing, weaving their way together to form real amazing soundscapes,thick in greenery, and flowing percussion work make the track flows along nicely with a nice easy smile,nice track to start any early night sets.
*Face of Space is Saikozaurus & his homeboy Shivattva from ussr regions,,serving us Psilosila for early trip introz,with pumping clean bass served with nice trippy atmospherics, the track slowly develops , changing gears up down, they make a nice flow going on from 4 minutes on with some nice movement.dig it
*next comes Hagenith with spiritual transformation with a dark vibe,takes off around 2 mins in, floating crisp on roof,decent leadwork and ok flowing percussive rain, it builds ok nice,pretty decent but for me was lacking some nice percussive inputs with the flows and some other organic impulses here and there,otherwise pretty decent work.
*jangaramongara is an solo project of Tetsuya from japan,he comes in with some tripped out voices ,scrambling the brain frequencies with some evolutionary night time flowz. deep thumping bass with sublime elements forming everchanging shapes which come and go with the hypnotic atmosphere. perfect to kick floor into gear.perfect for the water fishes,personally would have liked for the track to have kicked up another gear in 2nd part, but samesame ,anyway real nice track indeed.
*Gu rips it open with full color bounce and crystal clear leadwork,with intellegent input touches here and there to get the bounce going nicely,building the groove with his special combination of sounds.even tho it sounds like his old work, it still has an amazing flow and bounce to it all the way,6 minutes extract for dropping it in,k
*next up is indian producer Fuzulu gearing us up with his super clean flowz and some nice collection of sounds,flowing over a nice tight bass which has some nice movement to it creating a nice groove.first half of track being perfect, later parts changing gears up down for flavored bounce keep it interesting all the way till the end,done with a very visible understanding of the music.quality sounds
*kerlivin walks in next with some pumping clean bass creating solid tension of perfectly combined sounds which dissolve into the backdrops of nice crisp foresty atmosphere to jump about in,very impressive quality of grains,swirling about on the roof as kerlivin opens us up with a smile. absolute pumper of a track
*psychoson walks in with 'here or here' with warm lush bass introduced with some nice samples,which develop progressively,adding layers upon layers of fine grains of sound which build up intricately to form nice and warm grooves with liquid percussions ripping and whipping the floor with nicely timed movements.real good work
*full face is up next with 'snoor' ,no nonsense,drops right in with a thumping clean bass with lots of space and time created by the deep sub bass,wonderfully crafted together to form amazing pumping grooves,absolutely nice tripped out work in crystal quality grains ending with some humorous gargleling soundz.quality work
*ordo ab chao is solo project from greece ending this cd on a perfect note,of crystal clear bombing bass and spooky forest colors painting the forest colorfull.perfect night time blaster,with perfect pace and bounce,real nice ending for a real nice cd.
vantara vichitra is a sanskrit word which translates roughly to " somewhat strange " or " kindoff strange ".this brand new record label from india delivers a quality debut release with a very fine selection of sounds put together very nicely to create this perfect night time forest sound experience.with a good dose of crunchy sounds this cd delivers without a doubt,a sonic experience which will bring a smile on many a freak's face and leave you kicking up dust on the floor.with their second VA now ready to rock the floors world wide,vantra vichitra records establishes itelf as a center for excursions into this particular sonic spectrum.with such promising releases VV is bound to set many worldwide floors on fire.this release is an oasis in this desert of sonic mirages,created masterfully by all such fine artists, and with such a raw nice lineup of artists on their label this is definately one to keep an eye out on in the near future.
