Based in Berlin, DJ Koszki grew up in a Progressive Trance environment but also got strongly influenced by the uniquely rich and varied club and rave culture of the German capital. Accordingly it somehow makes sense that the producers he gathered for his second compilation on Blue Tunes share a similarly hybrid approach: The sound on Red Addiction is distinctly different from classical Progressive but neither describable in the terms of contemporary Tech House or Progressive House productions and therefore represents a very own subgenre that has slowly but constantly grown between these styles. Long and subtle build-ups, huge reverb rooms and whirring sound effects create a hypnotic atmosphere and represent the deep and trancy aspect of this music. But still there are also the reduced, functional and very techy aspects. So all together another explosive mixture for lovers of style innovations!
