Reviewing compilations is not my cup of tea, it’s hard to create a general and compilations who has accomplished to create a certain concept I can count on one hand,
still this one has very good tracks I believe so reviewing track by track is just the only option,

Well the style I can define: this is morning fullon, a combination of euphoria morning fullon and more psychedelic morning fullon,
like all compilations it starts with a rather slower artist, a very good one in this case,
Chromosome, an artist who is based on the morning fullon formula but is not afraid to use some progressive influences what it makes more subtle and less explosive,
This compilations is compiled by an Belgian dj ‘nemesis’ and also a member of ‘digicult’ who will release their album very soon…

other upcoming Belgian artist like exphedrix
http://www.ephedrix.tk/
together with upcoming Mexican artist farbo and the lamat we all know from his absolute precious debut release master control,

Well I’ll better stop here and start from the beginning,

01. CHROMOSOME - SOLSTICE DELUXE
A very good entrance to start the cd, we all know chromosome and his subtle way of surfing on the waves, no explosions, the kick is smooth and the drive floats, caresses your ear, no full climaxes on this track but only little sparkling morning sounds who create the need for more and provide direct satisfaction, what is a good thing when you release a morning fullon cd, don’t give all your surprises away directly let the people wait.

02. FARBO - TRANCEFORMING PI
Farbo If remember correctly is a young Mexican and this is one of his first tracks, well heads off, if this is his first no idea what the last will be J, the drive goes faster but yet in the advancement farbo keeps it psychedelic and totally not overloaded at all, the atmosphere chromosome created is still around, a bit mystique, knowing there’s more to come, it keeps your mind busy, you’re curiosity get’s strangled ! Smoothly farbo enters more morning sounds, not many layers but the sounds are very well present, the track isn’t a blast so far but it’s his first… the actual first climax speaks softly arriving at the 5th minute, the samples are not cheesy at all but fit perfectly within the track, at the end farbo like totally surprises me wit an uplifting speaking building peak of his sound, the same peak repeats reformed in baseline and the end climax is so fucking great. That is a beautiful goa sound, travelling through my speakers, and should have last a bit longer but then again farbo plays with it from left to right and shows us he knows how to control goa sounds, the end of the track is to sudden, a mistake many artist make imo although that is subjective I like to surf out the track not after a climax from 100% to 0% in 5 seconds. Still keep up the good work farbo this won’t be the last time we will hear from you my friend J

03. EPHEDRIX - ADD GUITARS TO X
a very trance intro, this looks to be emotional and deep, very good intro, not direct baseline but a perfect way to introduce your style, the baseline is very motivating and changes into different patterns, the stop/breaks to announce a new psychedelic sound is very good comparing to every bodies typical whiiiiiiiiiii this is nice, drums are being used and a guitar riffs blows through my speakers, now I remember, I heard this at my last open air (lol), indeed very good for dance floor speaking out of experience… for home listening it doesn’t sound that new but again the way ephedrix announces a new sounds of change/reform the previous sounds by sudden stops and fast left/right is extremely original, the guitar riffs totally floats away in my mind when ephedrix suddenly uses a morning sound that is so crystal clear, again I would like to hear more of that sound, can’t wait J

04. ALTERNATIVE CONTROL VS. BISHOP – ANAXADORA
well many will know this and still this is imo the best track alternative control ever made and not to be compared to their debut album ALT DLT or whatever it’s called, the drive is smooth and the kick is very soft, the concentration is more on the melodies, you notice directly in the advancement this track is going to score because of the melodies and not baseline, just the way I like it J, and yes at 2nd minute the melodies speaks in a thousand ways, this is what I experience as psychedelic morning fullon melodies, like a thousand little fishes following the same wave, alternative stops it’s melodies and slows down the baseline to create some atmosphere, at the end we get the same as the advancement but thousand times more full, explosive, more layers and present, this is pure bliss and I can’t get enough off it J

05. DIGICULT - IN THE RIVER
using the baseline as intro and direct power, this is digicult, the strength, the almost macho present drive is so remarkable, comparing to the other tracks you hear directly the crystal touch and the fact that each sound is powerful until the end, even the little psychedelic background sounds are all over, the subtle guitar riffs in the advancement are good, don’t explode but just used as another psychedelic sound not as a climax, when they enter their sound it’s hard to describe, this is just digicult and you have to hear it, a powerful screaming slight brain damage sound that hypnotises you, they use their sound like rastaliens used to do but faster and more aggressive, well morning fullon aggressive (don’t want to create misunderstandings), it’s very hard to describe their sound but one thing is for sure it keeps you busy over and over, you can’t let it go and it doesn’t allow you to let you go !

06. FREAKULIZER – RADIOSHOW
a bit strange intro, not that professional but then that spiral sounds makes it all so great, reminds me of the old school days, the sudden change when the baseline takes over the wheal is a bit strange, waiting ? little morning sound but nothing very special imo, maybe a bit spoiled after all the other tracks I’ve already heard ? who knows, I’m bound to the influence of contrast right now, this is imo the less track on the compilation, a baseline slower reform to announce a synth climax that is comparing to what I’ve heard before a bit cheap, it’s not bad but this compilation has given me more.

07. BARAK - LOVE AND DISTANCE
Barak is total new name for me so I’m curious, the atmospheric intro with twinkling bells (not like Christmas silly ) caresses my ear and the baseline start floating together with the same atmosphere, the atmosphere disappears and this baseline full ahead, pure kick, rolling, rolling aaaaaaaand rolling… no attention to psychedelic sounds comparing to the uplifting drive…. What did I say ? no melodies, wrong about that, the baseline stops and when it comes back a huge uplifting sounds arrives, the piano background parts are bit cheap imo… suddenly barak changes style, uses drum’n bass patterns (well I don’t like drum’n bass but I have to admit it fit’s, second time I experience it, hillight tribe did the same and I like it too, after the drum’n bass period a smooth part is created, slow baseline, back that barak atmosphere that I liked in the beginning J, together with some nice guitar riffs also not used as climax but speaking as psychedelic sounds… and hups back that fast baseline but now the melodies isn’t that convincing… I think we had the best of the track, nice parts barak J

08. CHEMICAL DRIVE - LAST GALAXY
Vocals as intro, and a facking die hard baseline I’ll tell you J, the advancement is good but nothing special to say about, it is as good as the above tracks, the end climax is totaaaaaaaaaaly insane, uplifting and the reforming of his sound is indeed chemical, very good, very very good !

09. EPHEDRIX VS. LAMAT - FADE TO GREY (EPHEDRIX RMX)
Again a trance emotional intro, mmmmm that baseline where do I know that from J, LAMAT !!!!!!!!!!! motivating, smooth, very present, crystal clear, just good voila ! the lamat sound is used in the advancement what is nice, long time I heard his sound, I think I will listen to his album after this one J, the fade to grey sample I keep my self neutral some hate rmx stuff other don’t, suit it yourself but at the 3rd minute I get amazed by a short full climax and then shots of melodies like 1 second, typical lamat, the tracks get’s more euphoria and euphoria and is pure based on the uplifting concept, it’s good, as the 9th track I like one track that’s a bit overloaded and brings me direct satisfaction from the first until last minute… yeah this is just one hell of a track well done ephedrix and lamat nice cooperation, should do it again, it works perfectly imo J

10. DIGICULT - THE ZEN MIND
last but not least digicult provides us a some power to end the release, this is a train, a TGV, rolling, bumping your head up and down, the melodies in the advancement has got some old school influences like space tribe 1998, no stop, just going on & on no matter what the baseline does, doesn’t stay that way but it was fun, baseline goes back at front up and down, rolling and keeping you busy, this is pure flexible motivation, they use their sound subtle not overloaded, it’s more the baseline that is thought trough, a part that goes walk in the woods… nice J , a total stop but now a new sound arrives but gets blow away by the typical digicult sound J, As gentle they are they don’t stop sudden but float away smoothly to end the release, one by one it get’s less overloaded, more subtle, even their drive is softer, well well, the end is near

conclusion:

this is a good compilation, it has good tracks, and I must say they managed to create a certain concept, well not a concept, euhm, a typical way of producing, all tracks have some same typical elements,
well this was a very hard review pffff, that’s why I don’t like reviewing compilations (lol), you have to be so detailed to give the reader an idea otherwise it’s not worded writing it, but then again you don’t want to repeat too much otherwise you described the first 5 tracks detailed and you the last track is like one line (rolleyes)

so I did

enjoy the summer, this one will only make it better J

thanks for the long review mr sideffect...

it seems like you like / dislike the tracks in a different way then other people... for example many people seem to think the Freakulizer track is the best of the cd
anyways, always hard discussing tastes

I would love to read some more reviews if anyone else is up for it ?!           http://www.dacru.be

that's enough for me !
maybe some comment about the music ???
no off course not, spamming

@ mister eskimo no problem mate,
I do have a certain view about the new morning fullon wave and is not the like others but wouldn't the world be boring If we all thought the same

still I tried to create an objective view too for others,
hope I reached that.

good luck with your trip to germany this weekend...
