well this cd sounds really great with the track list and i think its pretty good.
1. damage - not a bad job with the beats : this track reminds of me of his earlier work on new world 2, his track da real psycho. i wouldnt classify this as a standard damage track though most of the trademark sounds are there. i wouldnt call it the best work from deon (especially after recent releases go get stupid and motherfucking beat). the build ups are different and i think he has tried some different tricks here, with lots of sample usage - some hip hop stuff and some singing around. i dont like the 'not a bad.. with the beats' sample too much. its overused in my opinion and the fx on it dont appeal to me. but the amount of power deon packs in his bass and kick, and his twisted synth work always get me. all in all not a bad track. 7.5/10.

2. azax syndrom - electrified : the very mention of azax syndrom caught my attention to this compilation. the last release from him was a while on back on midnight storm 2 and he is now working on his album – ‘the art of war’, so i presume this is precursor to it in some ways. the bass is pretty standard and you can hear some different sounds here and there along with the trademark wooshes . the track sort of reminds me of his earlier work like on voices of madness a little bit. i think the synths he uses are different from the ones he normally uses which is what reminds me of the older style. the track is pretty powerpacked, its not a bomb, but its a great to build up the tempo. around the 5th min, we see the normal azax build up and simply takes off! the track peaks about around this time in ways that only regev can think of. not a stomper but one hell of a ride. 8/10.

3. entropy vs happyletpic - 3some: this is an interesting collaberation between the doof regulars entropy and one of the ariels from double r.e.l. as you might expect the doof stars provide a groovy bassline, with some great percussion work. though the leads they use sort of sound like highko. the synth work is pretty damn impressive and provides an intense ride. the track is for sure a dancefloor bomb. great track this one, the only complain i have is that it sounds alot like a typical noise poison track. 8/10.

4. highko - lock and keys: speak of the devil , this is a pretty standard highko track with the trademark bassline. its fast, ripped out, and im sure would cause mayhem on any dancefloor. in short this is a highko track and meets any expectations you would have from him. having said that, i feel kind of bored by it. in the sense that its nothing new from highko, the leads arent new, and most of the tricks he pulls off arent new either. i guess i just find myself losing interest in highko and would surely like to see him change his sound abit. anyways, an alright track. 7/10.

5. savage scream - the da vinci barcode : as uv noticed the tempo on the compilation has been increasing, and savage scream maintains the bpm around the 150's if not higher. The track is dark and intense, with strange bleeps, moans and groans coming from all over. the synths are twisted and i can see this really causing some havoc. around 1 min 50 he uses a bassline which is very higko-esque. but the consistant barrage of sounds provides an intense ride. pulls of a lot of tricks on the breaks, from cool samples to creative changes in kick-bass arrangements. Asides from the pads used provide an eery atmosphere which goes well with mood of the track which is pretty much in your face, noisy as hell dark psy. pretty kick ass track, but surely not for the fainthearted. 8/10.

6. Samadhi – Synchro Psy Travelling: This starts off with some tribal drums and the bass coming in with some interesting kicks. It soon takes off into a cool bass line with some kick ass highs, and great percussion work. Love the spacey sounds he uses with the aggressive mood of the track. The leads used are pretty twisted and demented and makes for some great listening. Around the 4th minute the trademark Samadhi leads kick in. the way he uses different synths is really kick ass. The build up around the 5th minute once again shows some great work on the bassline, and around 5:30 there is an interesting groovy synth that’s brought in. I love the way the tribal beats always stick around in the track. Around the 7th minute there is a new lead again which is bound to cause some mayhem. This is a hell of an intense ride with the sounds of the waves and the acid filled leads. All in all another great track from Samadhi. 8/10.

7. Noise Gust- Limbogott RMX: Starts off with an interesting intro which leads into a massively ruthless kick bass. From the very beginning you know the track means business. Soon you have metallic sounds and leads coming all over the place taking the power to a whole new level. Around the 4th minute you have scary lyrics, presumably from an industrial german band that made the original limbogott. I say this as naked tourist made a track with the same name which was a rmx to this german band. Anyways the lyrics are soon replaced with wicked leads which leave you with the sliced and diced feeling, you know? The leads are ruthless as only the Japanese can make them, this whole track oozes power and it’s a terrific ride even when listening at home. In my opinion I love the way it evolves to include new sounds, drum beats, whispers, and the scary as hell pads along with that insane bassline. Around 6:30 the build up is pretty power packed with the vocals undergoing a load of different fx and bleeps coming from all over. The bassline is really catchy and kind of reminds me of Trold’s recent work. The ending in my opinion is perfect – power oozing till the last moment with the kick bass. This is a bomb by any means. 9/10.

8. Noise Gust – Noga. The kick bass again is kick ass, perhaps not as powerful as last time but certainly enough to pack a punch. Love the moaning samples that keep coming and going as well as the deep pads and wizzy noises all over. The leads are metallic and the acid reaches higher levels here. Towards the 4th minute the bassline gets more powerful and I love the twisted leads. The tune bought in the 5th minute is hilarious and makes the trip all the more enjoyable as the track comes back with full force. Another great track by Noise Gust. 8.5/10.

9. Mondo – Youkai Drop. The track wastes no time in getting into full swing with some kick ass Japanese samples probably from some old movie. the synths used here are twisted and mad as hell. Reminds me of the track mondo made with drap drop on drop dead gorgeous. The track develops into a moody and mean track with some cool highs, and some good sample usage ‘its not meant to be’ . the leads persist in their dementia with all sorts of eery noises coming and going. The breaks are pretty interesting with playful beat arrangement that lends the track a quirky nature. Although I feel the mids are a litte messed up in the sense that perhaps the sounds could have been clearer. But the synths are so twisted its difficult not to smile ?. Overall id say this is a pretty solid track, not something that will cause mayhem but it would be a good way to keep the crowd going. 7/10.

10. Lost & Found vs Mondo – Total Eclipse – 149 BPM. This is an interesting collaberation, south Africa and japan . Starts off with an intense line and some cool samples. Soon the track takes off and you can see the lost n found influence in the percussion work as well as mondo’s twisted synth work coming into play. That coupled with the high bpm makes for a fun if not demented ride . im sure this track would cause mayhem on the dancefloor, probably leave a couple of hyperactive monkeys there as well hehe. Really great synth work, I think its lost n founds work around 3:30, the entire metallic guitar riff going mad, all the while long mondo plays his mind games with his synths. The track is freaking mad, and it gets only better with time. Love the new sounds introduced around 4:30. The track’s evolution is awesome to say the least and the power levels just keep going higher. This is certainly a monster of an ending track for the compilation. Around 6:30 or so the track loses it with a wicked lead, reminiscent of south African music. The ending of the track is pretty wicked as it leaves you with that feeling wondering how safe you are. A stomper of a track. I hope there are more such collaborations from these two as they compliment each other styles well. 10/10 .

All in all a great compilation which should appeal to a lot of listeners i think.

Great review angad spot on !!!

I have to agree with you on the azax track it sure has samples from voices of madness to it but a nice track nonetheless it sounds like all the azax syndrom tracks are mixed into one, Entrop and happy leptic my favourite on this compilation great synths and the kick is immence it sure is intense along with samadhi awesome work by them too.

Among others it was savage scream

Rather weird tracklist... We dont see Azax & Damage on the same line up as Savage Scream & Highko too often. Anyways.... Cool va allround, the Damage and Entropy vs. Happyleptic are stomers without a question
