He probably isn't responding because he is:
A) to fucking busy
B) pissed off at the pathetic attitude that some of you people have towards a good cause
C) stressed out to the god knows what level with the fact that he has been in prison, has big payments to make and a family that is worrying for him!
So get the fuck over yourselves, you haters, and put a bit of trust into the scene and humanity.
If this fucks up after it is released then you can give shit or whatever, but until you have 100% physical evidence that this is a scam then just shove your pathetic whining up your arse and let this good music come out in peace.
This label isn't the problem with the scene, it is your pathetic outlook and distrust of humanity that is the problem.
I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

i think the story is ok , the music is perfect and the cover too.
what the label should put on the cover, technodrome with a sad face in jail???

Can I ask is Thugs in Khaki just a reference to the police over there or is it influenced by this classic?

Agreed. And NOBODY is going to name a compilation "FREE TECHNODROME" for no reason. I agree maybe there should have been some more mention on the artwork or somewhere about the cause but lets take it easy till it releases and Mr. Technodrome himself makes a statement.
Good luck guys

Ok seemed like the pot did get stirred. Lets cook something then.
Just to make my points clear. The shady part of this whole process is how you guys have gone about promoting this CD.
Just to reiterate some points...
- Tracks styles have nothing to do with Technodrome.
> Fair enough answer from Bloodcloot. No I don't believe the music needs to be connected to Technodromes. My point was that no one associated with Technodrome has contributed... which would mean that this VA was compiled to suit a specific style of sound rather than be a collection of music contributed for a specific cause like the Tsunami and Ahimsa CDs.
- Looks like the title of the CD was pasted on an older concept design.
> It's very obvious that this was done in a hurry. You say this is because the distributors pushed you. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that distributors are making maximum profits from this CD ?
- There is absolutely NO INFO on the CD artwork that explains what this compilation is intended for.
> I still believe that someone should have put some effort into writing something.
- DNI+Ultravision Records respond to info about their music within hours of the post... but when people are asking about Shai's current state, no one has anything to say.
> Thank you for finally answering the question Bloodclot.
- Obvious connections to Moonsun records... who have made it clear that they're in dire need of money.
> My mistake. I apologise.
and to wrap things up... I do know where the money is going! Straight into the printer/distributors pocket while the label is happily promoting their own music and upcoming releases in the very same thread.
Do you honestly believe this CD is going beyond the printing break even point ???? (which is something like 200-300 copies right ??? )
The "Shady" bit is that eventually nothing but 100-200$ might be made off this CD which IMO was the waste of time. You might as well have opened a donation site. If the label was less interested in promoting themselves and this CD and more interested in raising viable funds for Shai, you would have ideally put this up for sale as a digital release or a free release where people donate to download.
I'd rather donate 10$ directly if I know it's going to help Shai in India... as an Indian resident and a promoter here I'm ashamed that this happened to musician.
But pay 15$ when I know that 10$ is the distributors profit... that the label is using this thread as an oppertunity to promote themselves at the cost of letting the entire world know that this is to "free technodrome", while saying that Shai cannot comment because it would bring him into the spotlight? This is hypocrisy. You might have had the right intentions when you decided to compile this CD Bloodcloot, but I think you've been taken for a joyride by this label.
Would love to be proven wrong and see some useful amount go towards helping Shai but from my experience with label management, the way this CD has been put together I don't see much here that is actually going to help him in the long run.
Bloodclot, if you're in charge of channeling the funds to Shai please PM me a paypal address or something similar... we'll be happy to donate something from our organisation here.

Everyone has their own agendas for doing what they want to. As far as I know...the label owner has been transparent with figures since the time he offered his help. You talk about donation? If you can bring 5 people who would willingly contribute even 100 bucks as 'donation' towards helping somebody, I'd really have to say you have some connections.
Not a single person has come forward from my personal friends to people I know in and around my city in the last 3 months (which is quite a few people) to help. So trust me when I say that this CD will make more money as compared to the willingness of people wanting to donate from Mumbai or even the entire country.
If you really want to donate ... visit this website www.myspace.com/freetechnodrome ... if you review the text you should find a paypal account or an email address to send in your donations. I'll be available through PM for further discussion of this. I'm not straying off topic anymore.

Yidam and Steve Pitstop are just uber busy using this to promote themselves and their own agendas.
So obvious they have for some reason got it in for this release.
Would love to know the real reason.

It's really sad that that is the world of psytrance friends then. As far as I remember, the people attending/supporting the Technodrome party were the whos who of the Mumbai circuit. If they can't support the musician that you brought down then why the heck are you throwing parties for them?
Whats worse is that this fact has driven you into whoring a good intention.
I'm done with the offtopics too. Will check back in a few months to see how this really worked out.
PS. Yes we raise donations bigger than that on a regular basis out here for local causes and no it's not always about connections... it's about projecting the right intention.

I absolutely agree with Yidam on this topic.
I had purchased 2 copies of VA Ahimsa, the day it was released last year. It had a concept, a reason, a message in it. This release doesnt fit to justify any cause, forget Technodrome.
Why not ask the poor kids' rich folks to contribute to his paypal account? Are they so poor? The people who attended the gig should be the first to contribute for this cause.
If i ever decide to buy this CD, i wont pay more than Rs.300 for it, and would prefer to have it delivered by hand from someone with this label.

So now a proof of technodrome acknowledging this release will shut people up.. interesting.
Totally offtopic
Reminds me of this article..
Tsunami happened and people are still homeless..where did the money go ? In the ignorant contributors backside.who didnt care enough to know whats the channel of the relief.. hence too much bloody money for the initiators in the name of tsunami.
