antaro is releasing another killer cd...this time a pure morning compi...

Spirit Zone homepage:

The latest instalment on SPIRIT ZONE`s release agenda is called BEAT-IFIC. Delivering the standard and quality our listeners have come to expect, featuring storming tracks by label icons and selected new comers alike. The flavour of the month is highly psychedelic, and as a number of tracks are taken from forthcoming albums, it indicates the direction the label‚s output is expected to take. Brazilian discovery act Wrecked Machines give us a taste of their upcoming album on Spirit Zone with a massively grooving tune that also sets the psychedelic tone for this compilation. Two further album-taster tracks show two major label contributors in best form: watch out for Electric Universe‚s Ecellerator and Space Tribe‚s All Reality is Virtual.
Continuing with epic riffs and choice samples of spiritual wisdom CPU vs. Atomic Pulse crafted DMT a psy gem with a tribal touch. Fluoressence is by unknown artist Enterprise from Moskow, stay tuned to hear how this project pushes the envelope. With San Francisco putting the west coast on the map, an exciting collaboration between Mekkanikka vs. Sirius Isness called 2 Weeks Ago in Mexico stirs things up plenty. Sirius Isness are also the suppliers of morning glory, with the pulsing tribal number Red Star Children. In the same vein French act Tikal strike sonic depths in the melodic storms of Trigon.
Headed for unchartered audio-sensory dimensions, BEAT-IFIC is a collection unique phenomena from the outer limits of the sonic universe.

1. Wrecked Machines - Mind Stuck
2. Mekkanikka vs. Sirius Isness - 2 weeks ago in Mexico
3. Tikal - Trigon
4. Electric Universe - Ecellerator
5. CPU vs. Atomic Pulse - DMT
6. Spacetribe - All Reality Is Virtual
7. Enterprise - Fluoressence

Spirit Zone is one of the biggest and most respected labels on the scene, and even though their last couple of compilations have disappointed (imho) this one looks pretty good.

Wrecked Machines was one of my personal highlights of 2003, and what I've heard so far from Serius Isness is excellent. A Mekkanikka and Serius Isness collab looks interesting. Also great with some more stuff from the oldtimers Electric Universe and Space Tribe

I can't say I am too excited by most of the lineup on this one, but if the Tikal track is half as good as the one on Dragonfly's Therapy comp, it will be worth the price of the CD alone.

New Mekkanikka is a nice bonus as well.

The Tikal track is maybe not half but double as good as the one on the dragonfly compilation... The guys are making a perfect work... Expect their album next year on Neurobiotic...           Edoardo @ Neurobiotic Records
