Com.Pact Records in Israel keeps releasing groovy morning stuff for the dance addicts out there. Now they are out with a new compilation called The Natural Waves Of Sound, compiled by one of their talented dj`s, dj Feio from Brazil. Dj Feio is one of Brazils top, leading dj`s, and travels around the world to play fat psychedelic trance. Last summer (2003) he played at the Voov Experience and the Shiva Moon Festival in Germany etc.

The first track is by Setherian (dj Seth) and dj Lox. It starts floating, before some heavy groovy rhythms starts rolling. Can we call it progressive full on? Anyway, it is somewhere between full on and progressive trance. Fat rolling bass lines with a few psychedelic sounds and small melodies jumping in and out. It builds up, and it becomes pretty melodic in the middle of the track, where you get a little break. There are also some voice samples in the background. Nice groovy morning stuff. Track 2 is written by some artists that is bit more well known. It is by Pixel vs Sub6, but here we get a remix done by Ultravoice and dj Bog (Visual Voice). Ultravoice released his debut album (Magic Sound Factory) on Com.Pact Records earlier this year. This is a rolling, fat track, totally groovy. Pretty dark, but with lighter breaks and sounds now and then. Track 3 is by Uriel (Uriel Ginsburg). This a bit more full on, with more crazy melodies, dark and noisy sounds. Then we get a new track by Vibra (D.Costa). This is pretty hard banging full on trance. Crazy melodies and a fat groovy bass line, but not totally full on.
Track 5 is by someone called Burn In Noise (G. Manfroni). This sounds to me a bit simple (the sounds and melodies), but it is still groovy. Then we get a track by Sesto Sento who has released an album on Com.Pact called The Inner Light. The track we get here is remixed by Star-X. Star-X released an album (Prepare To Fly) on Com.Pact Records this summer. This track is a real morning stumper, with pleasant melodies a nice groove. Track 7 is Ultravoice (A. Levi) himself with a track from his album Magic Sound Factory, but here you get a slightly different version. Weird voice samples, rolling fat bass lines and some nice psychedelic sounds. Then we get an interesting collaboration between Wrecked Machines and Star-X. This is my absolute favourite track on this compilation. Totally floating morning trance with a very pleasant groove. Not cheesy and not noisy. Just pure pleasant melodies lifting you on the dance floor. Nice one. Track 9 is by a guy called Intelabeam (Dan Keinan). This is a really stumpy track, with a few breaks with floating sounds, and a voice sample that sounds like a person on the moon or something. This track is one of the most melodic tracks on this compilation. Lish finishes this compilation with a slower track, still danceable and groovy. Pure morning vibes, some tribal drums, floating sounds and small light melodies.
This compilation is in my opinion the best compilation Com.Pact Records has released so far. If you like some groovy morning trance from Israel, be sure to check this out. Music perfect for stumping in the sun, and it sure makes me remember all the good vibes at Voov Experience 2003!

Overall another good compilation from Com.Pact.
First track is a good starter. Very uplifting.
Second track is an ok remix by Visual Voice of "One Shot" by Pixel and Sub 6. One of the hottest acts at the moment. Even though the remix is ok, I think it misses the unique touch from the original.
Another remix on the album is the Star-X remix of Sesto Sentos "Sestomentos" from the "Made To Measure" compilation - also released on Com.Pact. Apparently. To be honest I'm not even sure it's a remix of that track, or if someboddy messed up the titles. The original is a great, very groovy progressive track, and this one is nowhere like it. It's hard to hearany resemblances. An ok track nevertheless.
I agree about the Wrecked Machines and Star-X collab. This year has been great for Gabe, and this track is another gem. A bit more on the morning side than most of the tracks from the awesome "Blink" album.
The last track by Lish is a good ending for the compilation. A slow groovy track, also great for the morning hours.
Overall a fine compilation. Not as good as "Think Sync", but if you've liked Com.Pacts earlier releases, this will be a good addition to your collection.

Compiled by Dj Feio (from Brazil), which looks like the most famous funny italian plumber : Mario.
The comp starts with brazilian artists – Setherian vs Lox which deliver us an hypnotical & psychotic full on track, some soft industrial tones agrement the background. From 3:00, the track gets more psychotic due mainly to the coming of an infernal & infinite loop.
The Visual Voice (Visual Paradox + Ultravoice) remix of One shot got the bassline trademarks of Ultravoice (i mean metallic & resonnating one with quite growing amplitudes) ; for the rest, the musical content is melodic morning tones coppled with with uses of melhancolics synths.
Good punchy tune , i especially like the 4-4 notes get cold trumpetta melody way playing at the extreme end of track. Let There Be Lighter also includes deep tones & harmonies, the track go faster after the cyber break at 2:20. After a second break with gothic voices finishing around 3:30, it’s time when appears a plaintive lead syth followed by the pre-quoted cold trumpetta. At 6:00 break again with highly jerked gothic samples annoucing the paroxismic madmess, some nervous electric riffs are added for the accompaniment and the rythmic has got kickin little by little through the succesive breaks.
Faster production, more kickin & still nervous but less subtle are the main characteriscs of Abstract from Vibra (another Brazilian artist). You also can expect here some brassy mutant melody and at 2:30 a short percussions break but percu remain a bit after it. Then fx get more numerous, particularly in a spiral growing up style. Longer break this time at 5:25, composed of sarcastic laughs embellished by enigmatic vibraphone melody.
Huge revelation to my ears from his first seconds, Burn In noise has cooked a pure trance energic tune dedicated to the dancefloor based on agressive mettalic tones with some electro flavours (arpegiattors bassline way playing) & rolling percussions which drives you gasping coz during Runner don’t let you no time left to recover your second breath, totally crazy, madness spirit.
Amazing remix from Star x on Sestomentos, it's unbelievable but you can’t recognize the original as this new version is sounding like a real new Star x production and not just a remix. It’s here, all about delayed echoes melody & floating beats, just close your eyes and fly. Rythmically speaking, this new version is more stomper.
Another interesting remix, this time an ‘autoremix’, Ultravoice puts more bounces, & happyness, he also take the opportunity for twisting , strechting up & down his sounds on Crazy 4 u comparing to an original which was more deep, a bit sad (melhancolic to be exact ) & certainly lacking of sonic density.
Here is now a Brazilo-Israelian collaboration between Wrecked Machines vs Star x , whom keep going their good cooperation work started in Star x’s album. Comparing with the other Star x on the compilation, this one sounds more full on, i mean that the rythmic’s aspects are louder here as a result gets more dancecefloor oriented than the Sestomentos remix which is more home listening dedicated in my mind.
Feeling Tropy begins quite groovy, soft percussions come a bit later. It encloses some famous samples ‘for all the people… back on earth…’. After a small percu-roll break, the track evolves into cosmic dimension thats’ also when Intelabeam puts some muffled melody’s xylophone in the background.
Last but not least, Slow Me Away, Lish couldn’t have called this track better else than like this. The lead melodic sounds is an acid sour & cloudy shy one when the bassline is patterring. Around 5:20, the bassline changes and now is warm & deep ; major consequence, the tune feels immediatly more emotionnal & paradoxally more dancefloor.

An amazing combination of israeli and brazilian artists here, Feio did a damn nice job collecting 10 beautifull audio-jewels together....wishing lots of luck to the Vibra/Burn in Noise/Setherian/Wrecked muchacho's down there in the jungle....keep up the good work muchachos !!!

One of the best morning comps this year, imo. Very, very nice music, rich and melodic, never cheesy. Highly recommended.

good compilation
i didn't liked too many tracks on it but lish and the star x rmx of sesto are amazing
lish new style is reallllly great , those guys are verrry talented!!
they moved from dark progressive to a new groovy melodic style ... and it's even better !!
this track is really groovy and the melody is very emtionnal . nice production also . i'm really looking forward their new stuffs
i also really liked the star x rmx of sesto sento's track. but as someone said before, i think this is not a rmx of sestomentos.... maybe i'm wrong but i think it's the rmx of sentomental ("electric" midijum rec.) , an older track of sesto sento ( same samples, same voice, some synths are similar)... starx really combine full power music , warming bass line and killer groove with really beautiful melodies and nice synths
i quite liked starx vs wrecked machines even if i think it lack a bit of groove
the rest of the comp was not my taste but not bad at all
very good compilation
