This is the third compilation of MP Records, the spanish and french label based on both Paris and Ibiza. Having heard only their second output 'Waves From Ibiza 2', which I liked very much, I got this one with much anticipation on my hands. And I must say beforehand I was not the least dissapointed. So, here's a small review of the tracks:

1. MX Experiments - Frog Attack
Very minimal track, which retains a sence of groove and mystery through its tribal rhythm and otherwordly effects.

2. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly - Highlights Remix
Not having heard the original, the beat is pounding on this one. Absolute hooking beat-bass tune. Nice effects, would have been great if a bit more variated.

3. X.S.I. - Vision
This is more standard psychedlic, at least the sounds used in it. A nice morning tune which could have used a further twist.

4. Life Extension - Motion Dive
Spot on from the very beginning, kick-bass mayhem. And then come the strings and the melody. This is a beautiful track and a goa trance reminder.

5. Species - Connected
Another nice stomper, also more on the psychedelic tip. Techier sounds than the others, keeps going untill the breakdown. Nice track, would have been great with some better production and one more theme.

6. Passenger - Morning Pray
Powerfull beat and bass combination on this track also. And when the synths come, the track is off and so are we. A bit minimal but with a haunting bass.

7. Burning Style - My Name Is You Remix
Haven't heard the original either. This one is a bit of a standard tune that gets good through the use of the effects. Didn't do enough, could have used more things.

8. Bamboo Forest - Slide
Very nice arrangement on this one. And when the break comes we are already inside tripping.

9. Dino Vs Dado - The Ring Shifter
Run to the woods. Kick, bass, atmospheres, all top-notch. Will put a smile on all twisted minds' faces. And after the last break will leave the dancefloor in ashes.

This is a very nice compilation as a whole and with some amazing tracks in it. Consequently it is suggested without hesitation. Get it while you can still find it .

Dino vs Dado, Bamboo Forest, and Passenger deliver some good stuff here... the rest is a little anonymous. Even the decent material doesn't really go above and beyond, so what you have here is yet another psytrance compilation with some adequate filler for DJs and what-not. Why buy this when there is better out there, unless you've got some extra cash to blow...

Is this means my taste is wrong?

What about this being only a matter of taste ?

P.S. I am also into other things mainly(darkpsy) but this is far better than most of the lighter psytrance compilations being released nowadays. In my humble opinion.

P.S. 1 If you like this one check also ''V/A - Freedom Fighters'', Crystal Matrix Records compiled by Paul Taylor
