A nice opener compiled by Vaishiyas & Sync.
1. Symphonix - Shut Up
2. Vaishiyas - Latch
3. Liquid Soul - Airwave
4. Kularis - New World
5. Sync - Rendabenda
6. Monotron - Victorious
7. Ibojima - Sunrise of Tomorrow
8. Sync - Transfer
9. Kularis - Triptraptriphop
Standout tracks:-
Liquid Soul - Airwave:
Quite how he makes 135 bpm sound like a belting 140bpm+ uplifting trancer is beyond me! The build out of the breakdown is truly awesome! Like Freq meets John 00 Fleming if you get my meaning!!
Ibojima - Sunrise of Tomorrow:
Fairly full-on at 142bpm with epic psytrance and tribal/techno influences...trance as it should be!!! Wicked!!!
Sync - Rendabenda:
More lush prog psy at 142bpm, quite epic in places but still bouncy & uplifting.
The other Sync track is also good at 142 bpm but on a deeper note with a slightly more tribal feel in places.
In conclusion, I can see several of the specific tracks mentioned working into my prog psy sets nicely, but there is a feel that this was only half the cd it could have been, with the other tracks not really living up to the quality and fullness of production of the excellent ones.
7.5/10
