V/A - Source(Nexus Media)

Track listing:

01. Hydraglyph / Isis Crisis (Shift Rmx)
02. Slug / Divine Intervention
03. Shift / This Pain
04. Hydraglyph / Conditon Black
05. Abomination / Redback
06. Manifold / What Time Is Love
07. Menog / Spirits
08. Visual Contact Vs Shift / Mechanical Mayhem
09. Artifakt / Ntagathi
10. Tickets / Infinite Pleasure

This new release is the 5th release from Nexus and hot on the heels of 'Midnight Storm'.
A collection of trax to bridge the gap between midnight dark full-on and early morning uplifting,it includes new productions from well-established producers Shift,Slug and Artifakt with awesome harder productions from Hydraglyph,Tickets and Menog.
Here's a more detailed track-by-track breakdown:

1)Although we R usually not ones for remixes,Shift pulls it together perfectly once again, adding new dimensions to the already respected 'Isis Crisis'.The bass line and kick get some added punch and listen out for the Shift signature synths in the background.(145bpm)

2)Slug is up next with a variety of synth sounds in an awesome dreamy atmospheric production.(145bpm)

3)Vocals in psytrance trax?!?Shock!Horror! But actually working rebelliously well in this track of futuristic twilight psy that would not be out of place in the sodium haze of basement strobes.Although this is sure to be heard pulsing out across international outdoors in the pre-dawn sets this season.(146bpm)

4)Tundra and Link deliver a hard track with catchy synth and urban groove, guitar riffs and insane build-up at 4:15!(143bpm)

5)A misty intro brings this brilliant solo production by Abomination into a hard bass line with stomping kicks perfect for dawn-greeting sets.(144bpm)

6)Moscow's duo:Manifold launches with energetic mayhem from the outset of this track. The reverberating character to this one will have the trance-floors going crazy.More of a track for the darker fans.(145bpm)

7)Menog is back in melodic spirit with this track that will have the night's frightened ones venturing back out from the shadows.(145bpm)

8)Singing bowl-type sounds bring in the pounding kicks and rumbling bass line to this track of electronic collaboration.A twisting composition with punctuating vox.(143bpm)

9)A funky whirling track from Artifakt explodes into a thumping floor-killer(145bpm),paving the way for:

10)The final track produced by Tickets. This track has a grinding bass line, echoing synths and awesome revs.A swaying synth and uplifting quality brings the first few rays of sunlight onto the floor.(145bpm)

Overall an awesome compilation with no bad apples anywhere in there. There goes our power nap between 4 and 6am this season!!!

Great night-time psy with more melody than most of these releases, yet it still remains highly psychedelic. I like this release a lot. All tracks are good, my liking goes out most to 2,3,5,9,10. Track 6 is a remix of an old KLF track 'What time is Love' by the way. Hence the title... Come on, didn't anybody else notice this? It was a track from 1990. Damn, am I getting that old?? Anyway, fine release this. Get it!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

thanks for the review guys i appreciate the effort and the comments from all

this compilation was a bit of an experiment,,, not trying to sound too much like midnight storm,, its supposed to be something more musical and more epic for those twilight hours,, yet still maintaining the feel of real psy music... midnight storm 2 is comming next from nexus media

.. oh and track 6 is indeed a rmx/cover of the old 90's KLF classic

ok,, so its only been out 3 or 4 weeks,, so its still real fressssshhh.. go buy it if u haven't yet

When I see that something was done by Shift , I alredy know that it will be something fresh and twisted! And after liseninng this cd for a wile I can tell its realy nice jorney from the begining to the end!
There is something special in each track! I realy like track# 1! , 4! (even that I'm not guitar fan),5 ,6(flashbacks from 90's)!,7! ,8 ,9!
Great news about next release , I still enjoy M.S.-1!
