Phase One fully embraces the ongoing tradition of ETNICANET combining the world’s most respected veterans (Wizzy Noise and Etnica) with rising talents (Atomic Pulse, Wrecked Machines and Species). Etnicanet is proud to present 9 gems of dance-floor reliabilities that encompass the nocturnal club tracks as well as the spatial, psychedelic voyagers specially devised for outdoor festival situations.

1. SPECIES – The T-Factor (142) – Though Aki and Eli are Etnicanet’s youngest and most recent musicians, their spotless sound production and coherent style rank them on the same level as the rest of the label’s impressive artist ensemble. The T-Factor opens Phase One via technoid soundscapes and scorching synth composition – charismatically dark and powerful: perfect for nocturnal club stomping.

2. DROID – Candle Wax (Live Mix) (144) – Internationally acclaimed Dhya (aka Droidlock, Snug as a Bug) presents an evolved shift in sound: his percussive refineries are now accompanied by irresistible synth riffs that take the dancefloor through a journey of sound and energetic dancing, simmered in electro-feelgood atmospherics.

3. ATOMIC PULSE – Hallucinations (143) – Tamir Ozana is among the leading stars of Israel’s new wave ruling dancefloors all over the globe. Fat, contagious basslines and trance-inducing melodies lay over harmonious accords that render this track a storming dance-floor killer that boasts delicious, all-round musicality.

4. WIZZY NOISE – Insane Drums (140) – Micky and Uriel are undisputedly among the most talented producers of the international trance scene – their masterful sound quality and intricate production causes mayhem every time. Fat basslines, awe-inspiring synths arrays and impressive rhythmics klunk together in perfect musical unison – Insane Drums is another irresistible sonic creature that will devour dancefloors worldwide!

5. WRECKED MACHINES & ETNICA – The Honnor (140) – Conceived in South Africa after the Etnicanet 2002 Eclipse Festival, the Honnor sees veteran Max Lanfranconi join forces with hot newcomer Gabriel Serrasqueiro – the resulting track is a dark and hypnotic grinder that has already dominated parties in London and Goa – one monster of a track!

6. ETNICA – Seven Dust (144) – No need to introduce the Italian duo with a decade’s history in international acclaim and invincible live performances that keep inspiring and impressing. Seven Dust boasts, as usual of Etnica, heavyweight production with state-of-the-art sounds as well as synth journeys reminiscent of their trademark Goan element. A massive kick pulsates through the track with crescendos and explosions – epic!

7. WRECKED MACHINES – Surround Travel (144) – Having impressed the international audiences from Japan to South Africa and Europe, Gabriel presents a melodic track that does exactly what its title says – close your eyes and follow the majestic rhythmics of all sonic elements in Surround Travel… His Brasilian background explains the unique, unimitable freshness of this new breed of music, whose quality is maximized in outdoor dancefloors.

8. ALTERNATE VISION – Cripple (142) – Johan Krafft is well-established in the trance scene for his Logic Bomb outfit, and now his solo project Alternate Vision begins to impress the worldwide audience with psychedelic sonics imbued in eerie sci-fi motif. Hypnotic arrays of all elements increase the energy, making this track explosive, intense, and charismatic.

9. SPECIES – Rocks (140) - A pulsating, pronounced kick drives through with a bouncy line of hi-hats intelligently interwoven. Crystallised vocal samples and aggressive atmospherics accompany this track through breaks, build-ups and explosions in dark, progressive minimalistix, closing off this rock-solid release from Etnicanet Records.

Wrecked Machines are the group of the moment for me, more playful gritty synths.

Best of luck with this release Young!

          Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!
