released November/2002
Plastik Park Rec. / Germany

Firstly i thought i got some house CD.
And if u would play it on a house party nobody would recognice it at 70% of the tracks here. The style is often very minimal and direct but always getting back the roots at trancemusic. this guys make something interesting music here ...

1. Tegma - Revolution

Whats that a guitar? Tegma starts the cd with smart elements - beauty pads and a cool bassline under smart congas. the leading synties are like a fusion of progressive trance and 80ties electro. anyway this track is a pole position containing a good music-story. u could listen to it in a cool chillingsession or dance to it on a dancefloor.

2. Trancefeld - Schwarze Schraube
(Orsten Nurs 80-2000mix)

A mix between offbeat-Hamburg, skandinavian neoprogressive and nobody would be scared when u play it in the chillzone. pitch it more faster and u have some housemusic...what is this? a "u can play it everywhere tune?" every stoned rocknrollfan will like it too.

3. Kiloptil - Protoporn

Very nice kicking Bongos/Congas riding on a 1/16 Bassline together with some functional fx and direct hihat and snare elements..the background vocal spends the character. One of my favs.

4. Paste - Hitpatic

Paste engages smart percussions and hihats getting on a Offbeat-Bass. The room is very tiny and instead of a vocal and very minimal fx-set u have nothing to listen as to the hihat the short percussion-hits and a very nice conga leading the track after 3 minutes.
the tune finishes with a funny synth-line from the 4th to the 10th minute.
no floorburner but it keeps the move.

5. Antix - Cant Quit

Also a 1/16 step bassline
the first realy psytrance track on this cd.
making the room bigger with an organic background and brainy noises in front.
very progressive flow riding through a dark atmosphere at first but is leading into some friendly pads after 4 minutes. interesting soundjourney...

6. Andrenochrome - Optical Feedback

The next psy-story on this cd. we have a synth here a shaker a conga some hihats and a snare. the offbeat isnt very kicking.
only a nice break at 5 minutes gives a new punch leading the tune into some smart psy-drum adventure. why not all the time?

7. Prisoners of the Sun - Butter for my Cup of Tee

A direct synth leading on a a Offbeat-Bassline
The room is some tiny again... the synth is not realy my butter of tea - some melodic..but the drums are kicking the sound with a nice attack. a long break at 5 mins.
leads it to some more beauty and chilly pads with a sitar-line (!) and smart but driving percussions. nice style!

8. Tegma Funky Mirror

Tegma again is closing the compi also with a kicking Offbeat-Bassline into a linear arrangement taking the listener/dancer through a room of direct hihats and short minimal percussions. after 3 mins. theres a interesting drum getting in or what every u call it. i feel sad that tegma didnt produce this one with more background fx. theirs only a delayd drum and some pads. a new pumping synth with some more snares gets in after 5 mins. and surly this track has a good floor-functionality the whole playtime. good work!

My favs are 3,5 and 8

here is a review that I am doing for psyreviews.com . I need to cut it down alot but here is the long version.

The first track is from Tegma and it gives us a pretty good idea what the CD is going to sound like. Thumping bass lines, a slow and steady buildup and lots of space between the sounds. Its a track that grows on you with time, and I have to say that its one of the first Tegma tracks that I liked. Was released on vinyl in August.

Next is the up and coming artist Trancefeld, who just released an album last month. This one is a melodic progressive dancefloor bomb and for me is one of the highlights of the compilation. I think its a new mix and isn't on the Shwarze Schraube single or his latest album. Released in October 2002.
After that is Kilophil with a track that manages to be minimal and tribal at the same time. Starts off slow and gains speed as it progresses. The percussion work is great here, and the samples work well. Another highlight. This was released in July 2001.
Paste, with Hihatic are next. Hopefully this is what their upcoming album will sound like because this track is amazing. Originally released in June
2001, this track shouldn't be forgotten. Minimal dancefloor madness. My favorite Paste track to date.
Next is Antix, Can't quit. And that's too bad. This track is over two years old! (October 2000), and it sounds like it. It's got some moments to it but
overall its a pretty boring track.
Plastik Park really dug back into its catalog to find this next track by Adrenochrome, Optical Feedback which came out in May of 2001. The flip side of that EP came out on Park ave 1. I've heard every one of these sounds a hundred times the past year, and this is exactly the reason that minimal is going out of style.
POTS is up next, with another oldie, Butter for my cup of tea from February 2002. The first half of the track is just standard stuff, a dark buildup
that makes me yawn. In the middle we have a nice break down and it starts up again with touch of morning melodies that leave a good flavor in the mouth as the track ends. Pretty nice.
The last track is another by Tegma, called Funky Mirror. The name is kind of misleading because this track isn't funky at all. It's a complete bore. Same boring Tegma basslines, some cool effects here and there but they are few and too far apart. Released in November 2001.

All in All: A compilation that just recycles all of Plastik Park's old vinyls onto one CD. The first 4 tracks are very good and the last 4 are
boring as hell. I think that Plastik Park could at least given us a full CD and not just 8 tracks.

4/10

its not the same mix of shwarze schraube.
there is 80-2000 mix and there is 2002 mix.
2002 its a album version. 80-2000 its a single version.           Believe your soul !
