Candyflip Records proudly presents its first chill-out compilation “Mountain High”, which was compiled by Alex_Candy (aka Alexis Gateley), who is the co-founder and label manager of Candyflip Records and member of the label’s DJ Team.
The compilation consists of 11 previously unreleased tracks produced by 10 projects – 3 from France, 2 from Sweden, 2 from the UK, 2 from Israel and 1 from Greece. The cream of some of the most talented psy chill-out European artists are featured on this unique compilation such as : Vibrasphere, Nada (Dragonfly), Solar Fields- Cell- Aes Dana (Ultimae), Jviews (solo project of Jonathan/ Violet Vision), Kick Bong (Spirit Zone) and also new names such as Indidginus, Triac & Sharon and Intocyrcle.
The music will take the listener into a journey “up the mountain”, starting mellow and soft with psy dub influences. It gradually builds up and speeds up the pace, adding tribal and ethnic influences, reaching the climax with the last track of the compilation- where the “mountain top” is reached.
The mastering of this release was carried out at the Ultimae Records Studios in France ensuring top sound quality from a label that is specialised in chill-out releases.
