yellow sunshine exposion recordings is one of the biggest world labels and distributors of psy-trance. all the germany filled with their releases which in fact almost always are re-releases of most popular pieces in full-on and progressive psy-trance. at least it was so back in 2004 when this release have hit the table. now studio steped out of this and many newcomers and expirienced artists were released exclusively. but till now their series of "the best of..." are very interesting and people who building these compilations are very professional to do it well.
in further review you will find short track comparision and links to full reviews of the albums from where they was taken to build this compilation. thanks.

audiotec - passion of mind
phi - phinalizer
phi - we can go to your country
point - tanuja dancing
setherian - from time to time
time lock - revolution
astrix - artcore
solaris - desert
point - alien intelligence (remix)

second disc

point - enjoint (remix)

mandylion - last stop detox
haldolium - shotgun
soul surfer - water world

first disc
------------------------------------------------------------------
audiotec - passion of mind 9
first released @ v.a. pure imagination by utopia rec. in 2004

piece of a track! one of the best from audiotec who still need to improve his skills to reach the quality level of some of his friends from utopia. but from time to time he realy deserve only good words. and this work is definetely one of such cases.

phi - phinalizer 5
phi - we can go to your country 6
both were released @ phi - phinalizer by elf records in 2004

im realy do not like phi too much so you'd better read the materials from here: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/38384/forum/9/start/0
(brilliant reviews by deathposture, le lotus bleu and jikkenteki for sure will give you a good hints about this japanese project). both tracks are high quality level and maybe suffer lack of creativity but still rather good.

point - tanuja dancing 10
exclusively for this cd.

and it worth your full attention. with nice trackname /in russian tanuja can be understood as girl's name in bit 'iberian' writing manner/ we have pure stomper full of energy and dancefloor charge. one of best tracks around without doubt. good samples of al pacino voice and old-fashion full-on style can please many of us so dont miss this tasty piece. pumping fresh and energitic all the time its surely for your pleasure.

setherian - from time to time 7
christian zahn send this track here from his album setherian - multiverse by glowing flame rec. that was out back in 2004.

havent heard the album but if all tracks from are as good as this so i'd want to listen to it. bit harder full-on with light progressive after-taste. good one.

time lock - revolution 7
russian/israeli guy felix nagorsky recorded this track for his debut @ greek zillion mental anarchy in 2004. time lock - 10 seconds away...

and thanks him again. i hope many of you know this talented composer who always do well with attempts of building eclectic sound by mixing full-on and neo full-on sound with with bit harder base progressive. this track i like less then many other felix's works but it has its moments. many pauses works bad in my eyes but all the flow and sound of synths are quite good.

astrix - artcore 10
re-released from astrix - artcore @ hommega, 2004

mighty israeli star pleased this compilation with his respectable presence so you can dig it one more time here. read review of disc here: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/45623/forum/9 and buy it if you didnt get it yet. its brilliant.

solaris - desert 6
first appearance @ usta v.a. - zoo b 3 - psypolitical in 2004

ofer dikovsky produced here not very original track. it maybe considered as a filler in average speed full-on or israeli progressive set but not very impressive itself.

point - alien intelligence (remix) 8
taken from point's do you believe? album that was out @ phantasm also in 2004.

point rise one more time here with track from his album. it is good again. not as good as tanuja dancing that was a true bomb but here we also have all strong sides of a project - pumping flow, deep kick and dancefloor friendly composition. need more? go to shop and ask for album... it is not new but have some pearls in the tracklist.
----------------------------
second disc
----------------------------
point - enjoint (remix) 8
also from point's album where it credited however as point vs. e-jekt - enjoint.

and again work of good level. now as start of a second part of this compi... and it means more proggy-style then previous cause the whole second part is about more progressive side of things. but still dancefloor oriented stuff with bunch of nice energetic moves.

hydrophonic - eb and flow 8
was released @ nano rec. in a project's debut hydrophonic - aquabatics, 2004

intelligent and more-for-homelistening track of south african project. i can say that i like it very much but think here it is more individul feeling then in other cases. track has originality and shows good skill of creators but it need bit more bright ideas in fact. looking forward to listen to project at festival in croatia - underwater overgorund 4. you can read about it here: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/84426/forum/53/start/15

setherian - ribbon cryin' 7
second gift of setherian. from brazil with love. also from release @ glowing flame rec. album setherian - multiverse

in fact you'd better read great review of the whole setherian's album posted by deathposture here: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/42548/forum/9 i like the track. it is have some realy nice moments but too monotoneous at the last part of it. anyway in the begining pretty nice charge and very attractive bass-line.

indika - quitapenas 5
it is closing track for a compilation of israeli ap rec v.a. the peyote trail, that was introducing of various mexican artists to israel people.

one of the weakest tracks there and therefore here. rapid bass and not so fast surrounding alltogether work nice but cant fix idealess feeling when you play it. i like indika tracks in many compilations but here unfortunately nothing to be fond of.

chromosome - entering nirvana 5
another place: chromosome - the genome porject worked out @ yellow sunshine explosion in 2004.

anders nilsson 'the man-orchestra' himself with this piece. not the best track of his album but in a general flow of the second disc of this compilation. it is very nice slow melody in the middle of a track but you know its not realy connected with other parts - so again miss the target. anyway album is not only this track so please read detailed review of chromosome's album here: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/38042/forum/9

mandylion - industrial saga 7
mandylion - last stop detox 6
album of dutch michiel thole and frank louw was out @ mididjum in 2004. both tracks were taken from here. mandylion - toxic

both tracks are rather average and not outstanding at all. industrial saga is better cause it has original nice melody move. second track not as impressing and sounds rather dull.
here nice full review of the album by shimmer: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/46701/forum/9

haldolium - shotgun 8
taken from 2004 album that was recorded @ plasquam rec haldolium - haldolium

haldolium here with very nice proggy-style. more dusk manner then other stuff of this 2cd compilation. attractive composition with slow evolution. many instruments were used and they all are work together very good. saturated sound and distinct rhytm-base. symphonic scent of whole track is very pleasant - so you need to hear it yourself. haldolium did it right way.
http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/46376/forum/9 from here you can read short review of the haldolium by krelm

soul surfer - water world 10
was out @ yellow sunshine explosion on soul surfer - surfers paradise

brilliant track! from the first sounds of distorted violin sad melody in the begining till the last note of it. very good using of vocals - original and fresh. very good composing. very good all! thanks goes to anders nilsson.           Spiritual guides are to practice and serve in ways that cultivate awareness, empathy, and wisdom.
