----------------------------------------

Follow me..

1.Parasense - Oracle Of season

Left.. Right..Left..Right. This is a great track to begin the journey. Perfect parasense, with some nice eastern percussion sounds and a cool break down around the 2nd minute. Introduces a nice quirky synth sound and the classic Parasense grrrr grrr. Left..Right..Left..Right . It really gets interesting around the Mid 3rd minute the track starts soundin like a Lullaby for the wicked ,ting, ting, ting, ting..toong, toong, toong . 'Connection' says the female voice sample and till the end of the track just a few more percussion bits and the grr grr. Nice track

2. Xerox/Illumination - Night Shift

Ok, these guys kick ass anyways, Im a huge fan and I was looking fwd to this track. Track has a sort of 'jungle' vibe to it, and its accentuated by the percussion which is very 'Tom Tom' sounding. The usual Xerox beginning with no frills, just step by step mania. 2:15 and slows down just for a few seconds and the head nodding thumps begin. Nuthns really changin but there is always the background of some sort of forbidden night ritual , probably coz the SFX sound mystical. Mid 4th minute and it takes the Israeli 'break it down and build it up' routine. but this time they just shift the track from moody to melancholy, nice shift and when the 'Tom Tom' begins you just know those rolling basslines will pump it up. Great head nodding music, and dance floor, but i dont know, i expected something a little less routine from them.

3. Gms Vs Talamasca - High Vibe

Expect a fullon track with melody and u wont be upset. Expect something like Talamasca - Speaking Robot (Gms remix) and u might want to hurt somebody. Ok, the track actually begins quite well with this slight drumming, and a nice 'Nosferatu' typo experience. But a typical Gms bass line and nuthn different. Insert a few wooshes and boom! you know its from ibiza.
There is a nice melody which plays abt the 3rd minute but once again if u expect somethn like 2005/05 Gms you will be bouncin of the wall. Track plays out well tho, and its a nice merge of two styles, which in all fairness arent so different anyways. No suffocating talamasca 'poopy' sounds, but im not too upset at the end

4.U-Man - Static.

Right at the start it sounds like some unearthly viral baby getting born, and the track takes off. No screwing around here. Kind of Minimalistic till the end of the end of the 3rd minute when it gets very spacy, and distorted. A voice sample which sounds very 'hallucinogen-ish'. Now is when u see the direction the track follows with some UFO style melodies. Not much change through out the whole track, but its a good follow up to the highly crowded sounds of the earlier track. keep it simple. keep it real.

5. Fungus Funk - Space love.

This has got to be my favourite track right here. Completely and totally gives justice to the Track name. Very Spacy right from the start and some crazy ' im playin with broken glass' sounds merge to drive you straight through a space odessey. Keeps playin on the initial melody , by expanding it and curbing it and expandin and so on...
Once again, the track never lets you down and gives a mystical, glowing, extraterrestrial feeling throughout the entire 6;30 ish minutes.

6.Joti aka Psychaos - Spinner

Classic Joti. Dismembered style of music, never really completely on one set of rules. Takes a more mechanical, rough approach to this one , tho and has the heavy bass too. This is the "I DONT FCUK AROUND" track of the compilation.Deep, grit, funky sounding Joti Sidhu in his palace of raw eggs, radioactive waste and bhang.I love how he can so effortlessly combine grit and melody. Its never too industrial but just enough to scare the children away. thumbs up Mr. Sidhu.

7.Parasense - Ice 9

The guys from Parasense must have had a reeeally bad day, right before they started working on this one. This is pure russo mania. Aggressive,Angry, Scary, Psy Ghetto sounding music, Just the way u want it!! Nope, u do not want to be driving with this playing. Road rage is highly possible when u listen to 'Ice 9' . Early into the 3rd minute and i am totally and utterly into this lesson in psychedelia, when the Guitar starts. This is how to use a GUITAR !! Paranormal Attack are u listening? Man, this track never lets up and by using their constant lack of psychedelic -scruples Parasense destroy all in their path.

8.Seroxat - Witching Hour.

Ok, now it looks like the Reds are here to stay. Seroxat has a less complex beat+bass formula, kind of typical full on-ish. But this track is nothing to be trifled with either. 2;40 and the track does the Seroxat rise and fall, which is fun to listen to. Not as hard on the ears after psychaos and parasense. "Witching Hour" is the name and altho, it sometimes just slips by u, overall, its a good track.

9. Dissociative- Antracide

This has a very spooky beginning, with the clashing of swords and satanic whispers.Goes on for more than a minute, and by now you are terribly interested to see what turns up. Nice beginning, but uses the grrr grr a little too much. Got a suprisingly Old Skool type of melody somewhere around mid 2nd minute which sounds very nice. This track is really bangin by the 3rd minute, no letting go this time ladies and gents. I really like the melody, which sounds very Goa-ish and fits in so well with the Fx's and soudns he has carved into 'Antracide'. Not a bad track at all.

10. Suria - One More.

The last track of the compilation. Now I usually get really cheezed off when the last track on most albums or comps are crap. So i am totally tuning myself into the last one by Suria. No long intro or pauses, delves right into those dark atmospheres he loves to create. The longest track on the compilation sounds very good with one lengthy pause in the middle , starts up with the percussion and gears up to unleash a monster pick up. From then on, its a no-holds barred track with swooshes comin out at you whenver possible. Fitting end to the compilation, tho it was a tad bit too long with an outro etc which is really not necessary.

Most of these tracks are banging, wycked sounding tracks with fantastic basslines and FX's. A couple fall short of the margin, but thats solely my point of view.
The aura of the compilation is dark, tense and aggressive. Do not listen to this Cd when in pain or on a full stomach. Otherwise it is worth the time and money.

I RATE IT :

8.5/10           ~*** You can tell By the way i use my walk, Im a woman's man, No time to Talk***~

Hi! Very good to see review of this disc again. Its one of the best compilations of the 2004 year. Usually I don't like Parasense stuff very much but this one is exception. Fungus Funk's track is great. Also High Vibe and Suria's one are very strong stuff.           Spiritual guides are to practice and serve in ways that cultivate awareness, empathy, and wisdom.
