N3XU5 - sacrificial chamber
begins this mythic tale, providing and ambient atmosphere in this hardcore trance track providing all with a innermind view of a chamber of Sacrifice for the Gods
I have started a lot of sets with this track last year and it is a sure foot stomper Nexus style.

SOFIAX vs KINDZADZA - davai sake
an attack on the senses this track is very groovy very hard very dark lots of atmospheres and clean production makes it spectacular to listen and on the dance floor Kaboom this one is hard to miss.

BRAIN WAVES - spectral paranoia
This duo from Ibiza have made the track of the year, Dj teo played this track at first i heard it at the russian christmas party on a beach past Arambol.(goa) the second i heard it,, it made me rush to the dj booth to ask wat the track was
Brainwaves have come a long way an is a force to be reckoned with, probably the best track i heard all of last year

KINDZADZA - on the night side
Kindzadza has a majic formula, with each track its a new magic, not only does one want more and more kdds one needs more.

towards the end of this track Leo makes some amazing hightened noises that complete the journey and makes this another contender for the crown

PARA HALU - dead lights
Parahalu psychedelics nothing beats it, these guys make stories. Mind warping, brain busting hungarians

KINDZADZA vs SOFIAX - for the princess
best release tis year from kdd

FURIOUS - run forest!

CANDY POWER - micro cosmos
katy and roman make some serious old goa style music this one has dark atmospheres and groovy baseline, with one lead that just creates havoc on the dance floor.

INNERSOUND - meditate tomorrow
Newcommer making killers
i look for more of this innersound

good work =)) CANDY POWER the best! KINDZADZA - killer man! i like this sound. this sound open my mind and my eyes have begun to shine.

HASTA LAS PATILLAS

01 – N3xu5 – Sacrificial Chamber - 8:21 (147 BPM)
02 – SofiaX Vs Kindzadza – Davai Sake - 7:17 (148 BPM)
03 – Brain Waves – Spectral Paranoia – 7:00 (150 BPM)
04 – Kindzadza – On The Night Side – 7:49 (148 BPM)
05 – Parahalu – Dead Lights – 8:16 (148 BPM)
06 – SofiaX Vs Kindzadza – For The Princess – 7:22 (148 BPM)
07 – Furious – Run Forest! – 6:53 (146 BPM)
08 – Candy Power – Micro Cosmos – 7:09 (150 BPM)
09 – Innersound – Meditate Tomorrow – 6:38 (148 BPM)

Hasta Las Patillas, is the fourth release of DiscoValley Records. In 2005 when this CD was released, this label had already built a good reputation, with three excellent releases: Nocturne, Acid Mutants and Psycho Cell. Hasta Las Patillas, maintained the high standards of the label, presenting artists like Kindzadza, Brain Waves, Parahalu, Furious and Candy Power, to name a few.

But let us listen to the “Patillas” from here:

We begin our voyage, with N3xu5 and Sacrificial Chambers (T1). In this track we have the particularity of having some samples from the movie, Alien Vs Predator, mixed with the old N3xu5 style, since nowadays we went for a more fullonic sound. In my opinion, I think the CD could have had another opener – this track stays a little bit out of the orientation of the CD. I expected something different.

Now we come to a duo track, and what happens when SofiaX meets Kindzadza? Well we are immediately transported into hard sounds and sharp resonances. Expect to find in this track, Leo’s trademark, associated with some awesome hypnotic elements, and several male and female samples. There are also some leads from very good taste, maybe more destined to twilight time, but this confers the tune a great vibe and nice dynamic. Favourite.

Spectral Paranoia (T3), I believe, is the last track ever produced and released till date by Brain Waves project, since the persons that composed it, decided to follow their own projects. This track is way different from the one it was released on Psycho Cell, it is way faster (this one is 150, and the other was 145) and not so introspective. It has a nice groove, and danceable feeling – this feeling is caused mainly by the wonderful work on the percussive elements – and with some edge cutting lines very attractive. Favourite.

Again we are transported into Kindzadza realms, but this time he works alone. It is interesting that Leo usually present us in his music with dozens of different sonorities elements, fantastic leads, and deep sounds. On The Night Side (T4), possesses it all, including some well packed sudden of changes in the sonorities, either speeding up the tune, or slowing it down, mixed with some mystical sounds on the background, almost imperceptible. Favourite.

Dead Lights (T5) is the work of Andras and Adam – the boys from Parahalu. Like I said before, about Spectral Paranoia being different from Black Cat, the same can be applied in this track – Dead Lights is different from 60659, The End Of Time. I compare both tracks, because they Parahalu released tracks in Psycho Cell from 2004, and Hasta Las Patillas from 2005, and the differences on their music in notorious. This track also revolves around hypnotic resonances, but their type is aimed into the “light”, to the exterior, and not too much into interior reflection. It is very energetic, and the sounds are livelier making it more danceable, and by this, it makes “extra-damage” on the dance floor – I already had the chance to see it. Favourite.

“Master…Master…”it’s the way the next track begins. For the Princess (T6), is another collaboration track between Sofia X and Kindzadza. It starts with a pleasant pumping effect on the percussive elements, and nice acidic lines, showing the direction this tune will take. This one takes a more aggressive approach than its sister Davai Sake, with the psychedelic being sharper, spiky and more electric. One thing that was well conceived was the filtering parts, they are very smooth, and maintained a nice balanced tune, along with the work on the hats. Favourite.

The following track, Runforest! (T7) begins with several spoken samples, and I would bet that they are from Fight Club movie, I say this because I never saw the movie but have heard several samples that people tell me they belong to the movie and they repeat in here. I must tell this was one of the first tracks I heard from Furious project, and it was a nice surprise. Anticipate in this track to hear some Russian spheres madness. The leads are like razorblade, very industrial and metallic. The brakes on this music are intelligent, and give a nice vigour.

Now we come to a Micro Cosmos (T8), produced by Candy Power; the persons behind this project are Roman, who has the Dominator project, and Kat, who has the Equilibrium project. “We will know, that we choose to go crazy, where has…everybody else is just crazy…”, is the way this tune starts, and right after this we are transported to some twilight leads, and soothing echoes. This is the type of tune, where the percussive elements go to second plan, because all the other sounds imbue yourself on them, and you don’t become aware of the rest. I mean, this track is not very filled, on leads and sounds, but the ones that exist, really make some heavy damage on the brain – on the good sense.

And so, we reach our final track: Innersound with Meditate Tomorrow (T9). And this is welcoming techno sonorities with a pinch of psychedelic. Stravos, the man behind the project of Innersound, likes to keep his sonorities aggressive and hard. The leads, offered in this tune, are not easy listening, and it twists your ears from the beginning till the end. A good enclosure for finalize this CD.

The mastering of this compilation was made by Xenomorph, at Xenomorphstudio, Berlin.

I found no info on who made the artwork on the CD. Resuming, the cover reminds me the bank corals on the sea, multilayered with colours, and with a DNA chain structure on the front of the Digipack. The CD inside also shares the same thematic – the artwork is amazing!

To conclude my review, I just want to say that the fourth release of Discovalley Records was able to maintain the standards the label has; they were able to keep a nice pool of artists delivering highly quality music. I have five favourite tracks on this CD, and the rest are above medium range, something we don’t see so often nowadays, on the released music by the labels that exist on the market. Recommended CD.
