Artist: V/A
Label: Groove Control Records
Title: Inception
http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/gcc/gcc1cd002.html
Second release from Israeli based label Groove Control takes us into deep emotional atmoshperic prog/house. Brisker and Magitman (aka Elec3) put together an amazing collection of intelligent productions that you cant help gettin down to. These tracks have that classic progressive sound that is so clean, groovy, well structured, and imo very transcendental.
Tracklist:
1. Go Swiftly
BRISKER AND MAGITMAN
nice funky floaty melodic groove
2. Desire
SHARON AND ROBERT
classic, one of those tracks that really touches you and is not forgotten
3. Science is God
FLAME ON FIRE
deep and bouncy, great club track
4. Once (Original Mix)
PARHAM AND DOMINIC PLAZA
mysterious tribal stomp, nasty
5. Tone
SNAKE SEDRICK
clean futuristic sounds and a great progression keeps you in this one
6. Technology
SHUMA
tribal percussive groove with a nice breakdown
7. ElevenT1 (Brisker and Magitman Remix)
ANDRE ABSOLUT
smooth and funky uplifting vibe
8. Hold On
MANUEL DUEGO
driving melodic prog with some great percussion work
This release will for sure stay in rotation in the car, home, and in the mix. One thing though is that it is tracked kinda weird, each song starts a few seconds before the track number changes so you have to make sure your grabbing a cue point on the 1 beat. Loving all the new progressive vibrations coming out, Also check out Groove Control's first release, Between the Lines:

yeah - good cd. Nice tunes.
Let down by the way the tracks fade into each other and the position of track markers.

Have to agree with the comments about the start of the tracks. Very disappointing. The tracks are really good overall though, with Sharon & Roberts "Desire" being the absolute highlight - a very emotional and melancholic house/trance track of almost epic proportions.

Great cd, can't say otherwise. Brisker & Magitman hit it right on the spot for me, this is precisely the kind of progressive I like.
I love all the tracks. Pity indeed about the beginning each time though, but oh well. I guess it's best suited for home listening then.
