LABEL :           HADSHOT HAHEIZAR

ARTIST :       V.A

TITLE :         electrO`punk

FORMAT :      CD/LP

RELEASE :     07.12.04

CAT no`:      HADSHCD031 / HADSHLP031

Continuing our effort to leave no musical boundary uncrossed, Hadshot brings you the newest concept in genre-smashing compilations – electrO’punk. Hadshot charges head-first into this gritty realm, having carefully selected a collection of the highest quality electro tunes to grace the decks of some of the world’s leading DJs.

electrO’punk provides 10 of the hardest jackin’ electro bombs available from the today’s top producers. The chart-topping Monosurround set the mood with the superbly twisted and in-your-face "We". Parisian stars Black Strobe offer 2 tracks in their unforgettable style – the highly-successful "Italian Fireflies" (#7 on Deutsche Club Charts, heavy Radio 1 play) and their reworking of The Hacker, Millimetric & David Caretta’s "Moskow Reise". Also featured is the massive remix by Tiefschwarz of Spektrum’s anthem "Kinda New", which has received huge support both on the airwaves (Radio 1/Pete Tong) as well as across the board deck support from most of the big players (Sasha, Digweed, Howells, Burridge, Kleinenberg, DJ Hell….). DJ Hell’s famed Gigolo Records is heavily featured, with 3 of their best releases to date making their first CD appearance – Steve Bug’s top-selling remix to Freaks’ "The Creeps", the broadly supported "Blow" by Tiefschwarz & Eric D’Clark (#5 on DDC, support from Burridge, Tyrant, plus massive airplay), and the Tiefschwarz remix of "Listen to the Hiss" by legends DJ Hell & Alan Vega. Appearing alongside these heavyweights is the down & dirty "Discoteca" by Exch Pop True. Schatsi (aka Yoni Oshrat of Psysex) gives a preview of great things to come with the appropriately titled "Burnin’", while Tokyo’s Joujouka provide the perfect closing note to electrO’punk with "Anarchy in the UK" - their ode to punk’s original bad boys, the Sex Pistols.

With 9 of the 10 tracks making their first appearance on CD format, electrO’punk is a valuable tool for any CD DJ wanting to have all of these dancefloor-shattering electro hits on a single disc. In addition, a special 2xLP version will be released, giving vinyl DJs the opportunity to carry 8 tracks full of raw electrO’punk energy in one package.

With electrO’punk, Hadshot gives the big "f#$k you!" to the boring confines of genre boundaries while giving DJs the best tools to rock any dancefloor. Turn up the heat and dance with the freaks.

"You can take me away from the freaks, but you can’t take away the freak out of me."

Indeed!
I was waiting for this one some time now, and I'm sure it was worth waiting for.
Respect that Hadshot got spinned by such recognized djs around the globe
I think with such massive and original releases this year, hadshot is a nominee for the label of the year

We expect nothing less with chosen #3

There are some seriously wicked cuts on this release. Tiefschwarz are the kings of big-booty dancefloor filth. Watch out, coz this style is taking over.

The Schatsi track doesn't exactly suck either. It found its way right in between 2 Tiefschwarz tracks in my radio show this week.

in fact from this whole thing i only heard the schatsi track, and its good. great to hear other projects from people in our scene who are able to branch out like this into other genres/regions.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."
