If you are someone who is locked in a very strict frame of music and not
interested in any Electro, pop, 80`s, vocal or experimental stuff than you
should stop reading right now because none of what I say here will apply
you!

I must admit that its the first time that I try to review a CD which not
belong to my label, but this CD really got me and I think that its important
to say something about it...
its a dirty job but someone got to do it..

Label - MOFA
cat. MOFA 08
V.A - electric pop vol. 2 (2xCD)

CD1
1. CODEC & FLEXOR - black diamond
pounding groove male vocal track in the tradition of late depeche mode
albums just a bit more rough

2. ATRE JU - space of my own
jumping groove sweet female vocal ....(in the spirit of Ann Clark)

3. THE FAINT - conductor (the tractor mix by schneider TM)
anybody here went to the PENGUIN, SHIROKO or PLAY OFF ( clubs in Israel)
between 88 - 92 new
wave with kinda ghotic vocal....

4. SWAYZAK - I dance alone (darkfarmer "weekend a rome " mix)
this is where the CD finally lift off (for me) very deep (kind of depressive
suicidal feeling) great vocals killer arrangement love this whistle hints
melodies - cant get bored with this track (probably best choice from the
current SWAYZAK album)

5. PLAYGROUP - behind the wheel ( DJ KICKS electro$sh mix)
DEPECHE MODE is probably the most remixed act in the last 3 years - till now
this track is the only one who can compete with the original - might be even
better...

6. GROM - love/rocket (lexi & K. paul mix)
lexi & k. paul already consider as the electronic surprise of Germany
this is how should sound COMMERCIAL electronic music and its sooo good, deep
danceable and defiantly not cheesy ( 2nd best track on CD 1in my opinion)
this could have been a track from AIR ....

7. TUTTO MATTO - you
PUNK feeling female vocal trying unsuccessfully to be sexy HORRIBLE TRACK -
we could all do without it

8. RADIO 4 - dance to the underground (playgroup version)
anybody here like SISTERS OF MERCY ? This one for you a bit dirty a bit
ghotic and sisters of mercy guitar samples

9. BLACK STROBE - me & madonna
OK this is my favorite on CD1
BLACK STROBE cant make bad music! They are the remix masters and very
skilful producer each track of them is special and this is one of their
major bombs ... first time I heard this track I had to hide under the table
in case pieces of sounds will blow out of my speakers

10. 2RAUMWOHNUNG - ich weiss warum ...und ich mach weiter (T. raumschmiere
mix)
2raumwohnung have defiantly better tracks than this and her vocals really
start to nerve me sometimes - this track is skippeble

11. KITBUILDERS - in the year 25/25 (ural 13 diktators remix)
or you will hate it or you will love it - this is an EXTREME 80s EURO POP
design track I could imagine KIM WILD singing it when she get exited and
MODERN TALKING do the music...

12. SOLAR - ghosts (remute remix)
this is the third best track on this CD killer electro and great male vocals
you can here how SCARED is the guy that some monster are chasing him to
stick a pencil in his throat...the electronic answer to "I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE
SOMEBODY’S
WATCHING ME"

13. FIRST MEN ON PLUTO - killing time
another scary movie electro clash robotic voices and cool atmosphere

14. DAVE THE HUSTLER & CASSY - her dreams (DAVID CARRETA mix)
another scary ELECTRO this have melodies that seems to be taken directly
from JASON vs. FREDDY "last night it wasn’t dream allergist...she lost
complete control... they have enter her soul..."

CD 2
1.WESSLING & SCHROM - fade to grey (decomposed SUBSONIC & BIG CHIEF electric
mix)
"one man on a lonely platform." OH YES if there are 5 tracks that have the
right to be re animated back from the 80s this is defiantly on the top of the
list!!!
Great uplifting electro update for a hand and back hair standing track !!!

2.MARTINI BROS. - biggest fan - BLACK STROBE remix
giving BLACK STROBE a remix job is like organising a 10,000 pp. Open air
sponsored by CAMEL & RED BULL - nothing can go wrong!!!
"YOU KNOW I LIKE MYSELF THE BEST!" "I AM MYSELF MY BIGGEST FAN"
even ALTER EGO could not come up with statements like this
BLACK STROBE with their unstoppable charismatic electro melodies accompanied
by cool vocals presents one of the top highlights of this CD
3.DJ MIKROPACER vs. THE FREEHANDER - double dumb
nothing special, cheesy uplifts electro track - ignorable!

4.ANGIE REED - I don't do dirty work (SUCKA!)
This is a real song (still electro) with a lot of beachy female vocals that
actually have a content
PHAT BASE, surprising twisted melodies - very innovative dirty and sexy
"I DON'T DO DIRTY WORK FOR YOU OR I DON'T CARE WHO"

5. ELLEN ALLIEN - alles sehen
the owner of BPITCH CONTROL expose here one of her latest track (don’t take
this as an example she really have better ones) tempts to create dramatic
scary electro tune - the only thing I like here is the R2D2 sounds

6. CROSSOVER - phostographt (TIGA´s revenge)
killer pumping electro tune (sound like a crossover between MOGUAI &
HARDFLOOR on electro beat) with stupid female German vocals tempting to
compete with NINA HAGEN and ruin the whole track - but I do like the part
where she sounds like a slaughtered pig - I don't understand all but I think
she speak a lot about her pussy and it makes me curios

7.WHITY - just another animal
again kind of suicidal Ghotic electro tune - very good music with
unnecessary vocals!

8. SATE OF CHAOS - come on
this is my favourite track on the whole packet!
Deep base and small melody sparks which just boiling your soul! This track
is going nowhere it have no high point he will just bring you to your
boiling point
It's a pressure bomb that will never stop - also great for driving in the
night
Do you know those tracks that you hear sometimes on the dancefoor when you are
dancing in the right state of mind, and you swatting without dancing hard, and
in the middle of the track you don't know anymore when it started and it
seems to be that this track is already running all night, and you just pray
it will never stop - JOHANNES HEIL & THOMAS WOTTON
This is HIGH END

9. JAHCOOZIE - tapetenwechsel
this is more sophisticated experimental than DAVID LYNCH - no comment - maybe
I will understand this track when I grow up

10. HANS PLATZGUMER - software
boring, meaningless and skipable unless you agree that " you are my
software - I am your software" is a highly considered philosophic idea

11. MONOSURROUND - takemelovemehateme
another one of the main highlights of this CD
pure pumping electro with cool female vocals playable in every country around
the globe

12. SAVAS PASCALIDIS vs. KID VICIOUS - beyond the clouds
SAVAS PASCALIDIS develop a magical way to make dry march heroic melodies
sound like top future music than he also plant it deep inside your head till
you start believing that the whole planet turn around to the sound of this
track
If you are one of those that cant get rid of a radio jingle and mumble it
till death - u better think twice before you listen to this track

13. WARREN SUICIDE - the girl stood there
wild west meet electro punk – lame

14. CRAZY GIRL - cocaine talk
"ive got something important to say - blah blah blah"
electro meet SEX PISTOLS with cool vocal that explain all what you need to
know about cocaine - great idea - good made

15. DAS BIERBEBEN - sturm brich los
this track comes like a commercial break in the middle of your favourite
movie!
Unnecessary and skipable

16. TIM "love" LEE - drunk love
perverted, sick & innovative - I wouldn't want to be his neighbour lady

all in all at least 20 bombs on this 30 track CD
defiantly worth the $
anyone can see the MOFA records & DJ BUTTERFLY POTION put a lot of effort
bringing this comp as it is
they came up with a great concept which comes out in real time!!!!
There are many things you can do with this CD
1. Drive
2. Dance
3. Sex
4. Therapy
5. Collect
6. Remember the 80s
7. Relax
8. Smile
9. Suicide
10. Motivate

highly recommended to every body that like electronic music and like to
follow the musical influence development!
