Using VSTs without midi controllers

Hello hermanos!
I want to use VST's but I don't have a midi controller, is there some way I can use them? maybe something like the matrix of reason?

if i got u right....
u just open a pattern and writting notes with the mouse which is ant work...
what software r u using?

its a lot better to have a good souncard, than a midi controller, u can do very decent stuff, and besides u can write the automations..

many people told me that if ill buy keyboard controller note writing will be much more easy! i really feel like im doing ant work when i write notes with the mouse! its very frustrating! and with keyboead u can feel the gorve, feel the melody, its much easyier to write notes with keyboard!
never the less sounds card is very important cuz with out it there will be letency problems...
