I'm not too familiar with the I/O on the Fireface 400. If the soundcard uses a virtual mixer or console, you may need to use a virtual send to allow traktor to "see" the outputs.
I use an E-MU 1820. There are a few other things you should know. From the prefernces menu, adjust the deck cache size to at least 32MB or 128MB depending on your RAM. It is set to default 8MB. Do not trust the auto-detection or analyze functions for BPM. To be precise you will need to learn how to beatgrid your tracks manually. It takes 1-2 minutes per track after you get it down. Check to see if your headphone output is also the channel 1/2 output. Make sure your main outs are assigned to the master. Play around with all configurations you can until you get it - you eventually will find it. Good luck.
