Take the "quantizer" as an insert effect in your midi-track. Set the "swing" slider to the desired value.

Why so complicate? Just open the quantize setting and move the "swing"-slider. Save this setting and you'll find it in the quantize-pulldown menu in the key editor as a new preset which you can use for every MIDI track (and of course for audio-slices too)

Is there a way to get that to affect stuff that's already written?
Doing it in the pull-down menu resets the place holder for new notes, but it seems like you have to do the insert effect to change MIDI that's already there.
Is there an 'apply quantize' option? The one I can find only affects the ENDS. Logic had that cool Q tool that I can't seem to find an equivalent for in Cubase. Probably something simple I'm overlooking...

Of course there is. Press Ctrl+a to select all notes and then simply press "q" to apply to new quantization. |
