Shachar, you still have to mix the elements in each group right, I fail to see why this would make the overall control better, or why it would be easier.

Not on Cubase, here there is full delay compensation on all channels and busses. And yes, a group in Cubase IS a bus; a bus is simply where multiple signals are combined together. You can also link fader levels together without actually combining the signals, as a VCA group (or linked channels in Cubase) but this is not a bus.

As I understood Loopper did something more then just sending his sounds to groups. He was summing up the groups not with Cubase internal mixed but with his Luna soundcard. We did some experiments with RME and noticed a slightly cleaner mix. Still the difference was very minimal.

The only other instance where I group is when I don't have enough channels on the hardware mixer I use, Happened recently...
