Im Using Windows XP And I Got 3 Users... In My User I Got Alot Of Bullshit... My Question is if i got lots of thing in the desktop and in the start menu etc... can it effect on cubase? i mean can cubase work more slowly becouse of it??
should i open a new user just for cubase? |

The only thing that can affect you is too much crap in your desktop, try to leave your desktop as empty as possible, like 10 icons at most. your Start Menu doesn't really matter cause it's only loaded once you click on it. Do you have enough memory? In my opinion 256mb RAM is good for nowadays anything less might hurt your performance. |

neither Desktop icons nor menu-overload don't make cubase slower. they can fill display buffer with lots of junk, but today's cards can bear it easily. it's a matter of pictures held in a display buffer. it is anyway allocated (taken) but many icons on desktop can degrade your own performance: if u have lots of junk u can get confused. the display buffer is of a size of at most 10Mb. and this is in RAM.
