Eh if they did this I think it should just be Cdjs or Turntables.. Even tho I think playing on a lap top is the same damn thing. I dunno tho... I mean beat matching is really not that impressive. lol

fuk it, if you are gonna start imposing rules about what an artist can or can't use, then I say it better be 100% self made music on handmade instruments with out amps or microphones...

basketball is awesome. it involves geometry, angles, creativity, quick thinking, teamwork/communication, and physical activity. most importantly, balls. and, if you listen closely, you'll notice a close resemblance between a bouncing basketball and solid psy kickdrum.

there could multiple rounds...one for laptop mixing, one for CD or vinyl, and one bonus round where headphones are disallowed. an average of all scores will taken. ties can be settled in an overtime round where the participating DJs will be given a case of not-their-own music to mix with. |

I've wanted to do a party where you have like 20 djs booked and the lineup is done king of the mountain style. You only get to play when you can push the other djs off the stage.

You're absolutly right about that. Looking at the big picture it's not that impressive. Although it is interesting that something that is not impressive, we can call it fundamental even; is soooo key to proper mixing. In my ears anyways.
