Hello everyone, i'd like to say a few things about DJTRX.com because i think a lot of people here may be interested.
The basic idea/concept is very simple.
You create an account and you can upload as many tracks as you like. The other registered producers will vote and comment on your tracks, and you can do the same, if you like. The more votes you get, more chances you get to get contacted from the A&R manager offering you a non exclusive download contract with DJTRX.
All major download sites are included(itunes, emusic, rhapsody, beatport etc.) although the process is still going until all the tracks will be converted and uploaded to every download site.
I think it's worth it a try, since it's a free and very easy way for any producer to host his tracks.

usually the results of the 'get votes' idea depend on the sum of friends the participant has in a specific community and/or how well he can kiss butt and/or how spammerous he will be.
wrong ?
without saying the participant is doing something bad, but the judges are just other users (everyone can sign up as a new producer in such sites/forums)

You are right and wrong.
Right because what you describe is what mostly happens.
Wrong because this is not happening in DJTRX.
I am a DJTRX Producer and i was contacted from the A&R manager because of a track i participated with in a contest DJTRX was organizing. I got very few votes in the contest and i wasn't even in the Top 10 winners. But i got the contract.
I have enough friends in my profile by the DJTRX site, but the votes i got are not that much.
Bottom line is that the votes will not determine if you get a contract. They will just bring you in the spotlight for the A&R team to listen to your tracks(if they haven't already) and then if your tracks are that good, you get a contract.
A friend of mine from Thessaloniki followed my advice, he registered and uploaded a track, and after 5 days and having just 5 or 6 votes he was offered a download contract. And in his case voting had nothing to do with it. He produced a great track and it was enough.
