as about the "kontra" we had with some guys from salonika, thank god i cant speak freely in here..

when you in athens were listening to uplifting up in thessaloniki and generaqlly in makedonia the most amazing parties were taking place!!i don t wan t 2 b rude or smthg but if you search a litlle bit and find out was names were coming to play in ACID club and their outdoors prties and mini-festivals(porto koufo for example,1997)u will understand that uplifting never made it outside athens ...but propably you would be smthg like 7 tears old in 1997,ante varia 10 so ....if u want to speek free as u say then pm me and say wht u have to say .maube i will give u a recipe for good mpougatsa

To some ppl here.
I don't give a fucking euro what believe one of you for the music of other and I am not Kigan or ianos or somebody else like some stupid persons said yesterday and today.
I have my nick I make post with this and when I have to say something I talk straight to the person like I have do to the other topic with absolutzero.
Thats all. I read the topic and if I find it interesting I will make my reply. Don't be so suspecius pleace.
And finally yes I have visit an uplifting party before 2 weeks and I see about 30 kids 4 women and the music was a piece of shit.
Not the music and the people I remember 5-6 years ago.
But I like this music BEFORE some years and I still have some CDz
Thats all. Am I clear?

Well, as the phrase on the beggining of this thread appears to be mine, I should add my reply in this amazing/super exciting thread.
First of all, I listen to all kinds of trance (and generally all kinds of good music) and I just want to have a normal conversation, so plz some people if you want to be ironic, keep it for you
I just wanted to make a few points:
1) Everybody has his own tastes of music. And for sure, a big persentage of what is(/was) called uplifting in Athens, was a music that was not mature. BUT, many people have the wrong idea. Out of the whole, there are 50-100 tracks that deserve a trancer's attention as SOME of the producers where NOT only kids playing their "armonio" ...
I am talking always just about the music, and not the parties and the crowd (that anyway I haven't lived, I live in Athens only 2 years, I was living in Belgium)
2) It's not either really mature (or difficult) to defend something that is already big. And I mean that it's really easy to throw ironies to some kids that like uplifting... Non of you admire their "kavla" for music... We all like underground music, and if not for something else, you should appreciate that these kids don't support the commercial/mpouzoukia shit as most of the greek youth does...
As for the comparison between Athens and Thessaloniki.. Well, I've been in Thesaloniki only once, and I really liked it (the weekend that Yahel was playing in neraida, but couldn't make it). I really liked the feeling that you have for music, and the number of places that you hear electronic sound(also the number of stores)...
But.. I don't see why someone should snob the Athenian scene... Talking about psytrance, more that 7000 athenians gathered in politechnioupoli for Electric Universe... And there are many parties @ atother club etc...
Talking generally about the club scene Athenian DJs are far more known outside greece than the ones from thessaloniki...
So, to conclude, each city has its positive and negatives when talking about music..
As for "uplifting" the problem was always that the image going out was not a representative one...
Anyway, sorry for the length of the post...
I hope that everybody sees my post as just a conversation and not a stupid contra between I don't know athens/thesaloniki psy/uplifting...

i am from athens,but i have hier you since now at:
neraida(e-motion)- copa cabana(plasmatika party)- an club(krima re hraklh pou mas ton eferes gia dj) & ynfortunetlly at somothraki...
and do you now something? u r a disaster dj,you can't make a mix in your set,and most of all you play the worts karamouzes!!!maybe the music that you play has good production &powerfull base,but it is the some karamouzes us aplifting garbages...
the music that you play has nothing to say,i call it NEO-UPLIFTING,&for sur it comes from israel...
i can find real psyxedelia in the music of derango, parahalu, grapes of wrath, terminator,also in morning staff like ticon,andromeda,haldolium,but ofcourse not in the garbage of astrix &delirius that you play...
well, becouse us i know we can not loose you 'couse u got the money&the cone
open your ears,i cannot afford to hear tracks froom 2002 in a 2days festival with price 90 euros again |

Ok! The harry potter shit head has spoken! First of all Terminator is dead ! So watch out same thing might happened to you with this kind of music you hear ( Sorry Zolod ). Secondly yes dear he has the conne and you don't so life is bad for you and great for Absolut(1300 ppl NYE Neraida and 2500ppl Samothraki). Any questions dear?

i cant see absolut is doing something wrong in the scene or damaging it in anyway!
and with attitudes like (krima re hraklh pou mas ton eferes gia dj) is not doing anygood whatsoever im shure you would not want to be in that position!
i know absolut in personal and my style is totaly prog trance and he booked us to perform in hes party and im from athene and not even my mother knew who we was untill then!! so it wasnt something for profit e?
also hercules was booked to play in theyr party in salonika so maybe its a shame he went there???
with post like yours harry potthead you only throw oil in the fire try to reply in a more mature way cos they are some people like absolut and mindfazer that love the scene and offered and has to offer many things to it in the future
stop this war people whe are making us greek a circus to the rest of the psy community and forum

Yeap i play always the hommega stuff(astix,delirius etc)maybe because if you check the top's are at the first places...
As about money yes i have some and i work very hard to make them...

When some making party he print some flyers and before the party he gives you the line up....so you are free to don't come if you don't like the karamouzes

What parties and where...festivals or something??
the bigest parties the last 2 years are in Neraida and the bigest festival in Greece the last 2 years was at Samothraki....
