hey guyaz im from germany loving full on and uplifting sounds..... i saw on isratrance that there are many discussions in greece about uplifting suxx or not.,...... whats upo there? can anybody explain me how big is the uplifting influences in greek psy scene or is it already some kind of scene by itself? why do ppl say uplifting killz greek scene ?

If I'm not mistaken uplifting and psychedelic trance have split in Greece some years ago and from then on they are kind of two separate scenes.

Agree. Upilifting in greece dies a few years ago and it has nothing to do with psychedelic music. It is psychedelic but a different scene.

uplifting to psytrance is something like a denomination to a religion..A ridiculous branch,a disgrace...and NO psychedelic AT ALL!
I can only laugh..
Just my opinion
Greek scene can't be killed from karamouzes,other things kill it....

sorry man but skazi and uplifting...........no way
i like uplifting and this style has nothing to do with the psytrance that chemical crew play,
uplifting its our music style,maybe some artist from israel try to promote it but only here in athens ppl like it,
herouvim,cyan,asterix,goldfinger......thats uplifting for me
maybe you are very confiused

Mr halluciano_powerotti doesn't probably mean that the music that skazi plays is the same style as cyan or suki or whatever!
I.M.O. he wants to point out that the whole hype about Skazi and the likes of him is the same as 7 maybe 8 years ago with uplifting (or upgyfting ?) trance in athens!The explosion that happened that time in athens is what is happening nowdays in salonica.This kind of music (trendy psychedelic pop if you want my opinion) is easy listening and in fashion the way uplifting was a few years ago!
As for absolute...i'd expect a better answer man/It's not that hard to figure out what halluciano says in his post!Look beyond a few words ppl!

i don't know what you ppl saying about uplifting the only thing i know is that neither i like skazi but there are some track of him that are very good,as about absoluts set you sould be at neraida last saturday to hear uplifting hahahha,shame on you guys

Somehow this is true.Full on scene in general roots from the israeli uplifting era.Am i right?In other words it is the contemporary version of that (disgracing for psy-trance) period ,because many uplifting artists chose this way!
Surprisingly though, its main everyday use is as a vocative form of displaying one's befriending: "Yassou re malaka!" (in the same way that Australians use the word "bastard" and the British use the word "mate"). |
