So I have taken the previous comments of you guys to heart and am creating another progressive tune. The bass release is longer as the previous one, the overall compression is also relatively low and I tried not to have the highs too harsh...

and I have taken Klippels advice and played a little with the bassline, in order to make it "less static"...
Interesting that...
I am hoping the bass is not too phat, you be the judge... thank you for your comments and input...

hey mate,

i think you did a good job on removing the staticness. does have a nice flow:) did you just play with envelope and release times of kick and bass or did you move the midi notes of the bass as well?

it´s very bass heavy as is now and the bass could maybe a bit lower in volume.. you will have to figure out if you fit the other elements over that huge bass or not. some that are in sound a bit thin for me. generally i do not like the bass to be uberprominent if i have to cut too much meat from my leads but thats a track to track decision really and depends totally on choice of elements..

currently listening thru a syrincs system, so it may be not that linear. sounds really great to me. mixwise i'd join klippels opinion, the bass is maybe a little to loud..adam monitors?

sounds good.. Heard it on yamahahs 80.. and heard it on adam P11.. sounds very clean and fat..

I like the bass very much.. it is not covering any thing else so it is fine.

all the bass u have made so far sounds good to me.. for highs.. on this track the resonance of the sounds are sounding liner then the previous track.

I like the drums also.. envelops are carefully matched..

how u got the stereo imaging. good work.

Nice job. Agree with klippeldee about bass - a tad quiter will do good, because now it is indeed too fat comparing to other stuff.

in the full mix i loose kick's attack also. not a big thing i guess, maybe even it is just my personal thing

@Klippel, I just played with the midi notes, not envelope deal, that does have me thinking though, sometimes I use velocity to modulate filter cutoff slightly, I will try to do the same for amp envelope release, might be interesting, maybe both and one inverted...

Also next track will have a thumpier kick, promise

The stereo imaging is a mix of delays, combined with some vst spread button and very little spl vitalizer in the mastering chain...
