I am having difficulties to make long ascents in fl studio “up rising” somebody has some tutorial one, using vanguard or z3t4 exactly or outher vsti. That type of osc is common to use itself for this?
sine?

thanks

Synth1 is a good one to start with, change the oscillator rate and experiment... but you don't have to do the oscillator method, another way to make rises (GOLD RAYS!) is to audio-bounce a pad (or and long sound) and repeatedly pitch bend it. Add modulation effects along the way.

another good idea is to make a sound which has also a bit 'harsh' top end, then put a low pass filter on the sweep and slowly open the filter up!

I don't know what sequencer you use but in Sonar I take any old sound (pad/reverb tail, atmospheric sounds whatever), right click on the clip and turn it into a V-Vocal clip and draw in the pitch bend modulation in the V-Vocal window. Otherwise load any old sound into an audio editor and apply pitch-bend to taste.

Synth1 is like Aeon says a nice one...

sine, saw, triangle, square,, use which ever you want, its all depending on which sound you are after...

for rising, slow attack on amp adsr, and if you want the filter also to raise, use slow attack on the filter adsr...

now change to legato mod, put some portamento on..
you can also activate a lfo and make it react on the filter, but best is probably to twist the filter your self.. put the filter mod to LP

now experiment..

with legato you can slide between the notes so its a constant raise.... and casue you got slow attack on the envelopes it will raise... though you maybe have to fine adjust the decay and sustain and release.. and check the filter keytracking..

Risign: http://rapidshare.de/files/33046187/rising.mp3.html

Let us say that this is one of the ascents that I wanted:). Somebody likes to use fxs in its risings as for example to flanger?

Thanks.

Effects are a good way to spice up your uplifts; only your imagination is the limit there. Modulation of parameters (pitch, oscillator mix, filter freq, distortion amount and so) with automation is the way to make dynamic ones.
