Hello everyone!

I'd like to pose a question concerning unsigned music, unhyped music, straight from the underground, your friends music, and whether you have the same itch that soon the world will see a lot more diversive trance music...

Cause I got this friend who makes the best fucking trance music I have ever heard... Okay, not so much production-wise (he gets better and better all the time though), but his ideas and creativity is something I've never seen in psytrance before...

Are there anybody who feels the same way about your friends music? Hope indeed it is so

Peace.

Yea, I have a friend that creates some of the best old skool goa tracks ever. Both musically and production-wise. But the market simply isn't there for that kind of music anymore which is a bit sad           *In AjmaGard We Trust*

I think one needs to be a ble to combine both production and ideas. Otherwise one can just whistle a melody and all their friends can cklaim it to be like the best melody they ever heard.!

I know I am a little over reakting, but can u ask your friend to send over to labels!? then maybe his music can be heard by everybody and he can come out to be claimed as one of the best artists by everybody....

As a matter of fact, he's already "signed" to the non-profit label Devils Mind Records. So he's not making any money but he's getting his music out there to the masses.

Another up-coming label owned by two of my friends is http://www.cannibalsyndrome-records.org/.

Total is the guy I'm talking about and also another friend, Katastrof is on the compilation being released. So look out! This is what psytrance is all about for me. Doing your own thing!

I hade a bad feeling about the whole scene, but when I found out about this I got new hope!

This is in my opinion the best way these days to do it, with the situation with a market with a lot of music sounding exactly the same, not making any room for "real" innovative music.

What's your thoughts about that?

The big problem is that many artists wants to get their music out to the people too quick...

good music needs time and knowledge.... it dosent take 3 years or 4 years or 5 years...

i once heard a dude say, 7 years and you have some good music... and i think he is right, it takes alot of years, and i think for good music it must take time.. 7 years is not much time, i mean think about all the things that needs to be learned... it will take longer than 7 years...

so for all unsigned artists i would say keep working, even if someone tells you that your music is good and people should hear it.. keep working and really be sure that your music will last long and that you have a very solid foundation....

think of it like a quicktime movie on the internet that has to buffer up , if you press play too early the playtime will catch up with the loading and stop...

thats just my opinion...

Someone once said that there's no such thing as instant success... you spend 5 years refining your art and 5 years learning how to market your art - THEN you have instant success.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

i think thats why some people have so many side projects so they can gain a new alias that doesnt have a bad reputation. or a pre-existing reputaion of anykind.
