Why we label music? Why we call this progressive and that full on? It's very clear, the reason is simple: They are different from each other and to define we need to separate.
Now I am getting to my point: there are artist that we can not label under any style
Sub6, what are they? Full on? Progressive? No! the are a crossover between this 2 styles.
What are Dark Soho? Full on? Progressive, tech? No! The are all this styles.

Unlabeled Trance is what interests me in these days. Which artist u consider as unlabeled?
Is it easy no a new artist to find a label if he is not in one style?
If someone wants to create a crossover album with tech, full on prog and chill, how he gets to be in a label when every label has one spirit?
Twisted wont release artist like Hommega do. so the system compels artist to create in one style or to change their project names and be in another label?

Albums like 'who need love songs...' 'light in the dark' & 'bible of dreams' are very rare. One artist but the tracks in the album are not in one style.
Alchemy and hommega doing a gr8 job. I hope to see more albums like this in the future. And if there are more albums like this, plz let me know. I just can't remember at the moment.

Jaļa(Progressive & Full On & Psygressive - Absolutely mindblowing)

Nasa(Few people know it, but this guy actually produces both top notch full on, dark psy & progressive - I hope he will get into chillout as well)

Hallucinogen(Im guessing here, but I expect his next album to break into new territory, since it is so immensely anticipated & Mr Posford doesnt just release because he can)

Shpongle(When you go through all the material, its best discribed as the ultimate crossover between not only electronic music, but music in general - or at least, that is how it is for me).

Those are just 3 names, but there are plenty more.

I honestly dont know - but, I think most labels are interested in releasing really good music to put their release above anyone elses.
So, I think in the end its more about the quality of the music, than the name.

Still, if artists get gigs as live acts or Djs, the audience has an expectation as to what music they will get to hear - and that expectation is based on what has been previously released.

This poses a problem Im sure, since I artists might get locked into just 1 sound... I think creativity is linked closely to diversity, therefore that can be a problem (theoreticly, in my opinion).

Best Wishes
