this USTA release is a nice compilation which is put together by DJ alex (NOK).
like the title says he only took german acts to represent the german sound of the year 2005.

1.Neelix - think of me:
got a really nice intro and starts very progressive with a typical "hamburg-style" off-beat baseline. the highhats and fx is well done, at about 3:50 there is a cool break which make your feet wanna dance! neelix made a good job here... very enjoyable, cool hookline!
2.Tulk - moonstone:
more full on then the first track, but imo not that well produced.. it is a nice track which has a "normal for today" full on structure, but there is nothing really special in it... it is not bad, has some great fx and the hihats are also groovin' but to me there is no real way to get into it.. not my cup of tea
3.NOK - another world:
hooks immediatly! very good full on track for the morning, very trancy and troughout catchy tune! nice job
4.Liquid Space - dr.habanilloz:
also very trancy, but in another way... more twisted.starts with a nice flute sample and is well build, at about 6:00 there starts a nice melody with a cool sample at the end which says something about shamanism... is a cool track with kind of ancient theme
5.Psytrain - blues shoes:
psytrain starts with their unique and very powerful style! they rock for sure and everyone should see a live act of those guys once in a lifetime ;-) cool track here, makes your feet move and works on every dancefloor, if its proggy or full on... nice tune!
6.Cryptical Vibes - take control:
nice one by cryptical vibes (btw,who is this guy?)! very cool structure in composing,cool voicesamples (also this voice saying "take control" remembers of a trendy houseclub),cool fx and hi's and great hook...
all the best to this german project!! movin'sound!
7.Optokoppler - the machine
optokoppler, to me one of the best acts of this years season in germany, played an awesome live-set on FMF! they have good skills in producing psytrance and have the most complete sounding fullon-style in germany... very cool voicesample in this track nad got like every track of optokoppler very nice melodies ... very powerful track!! for me it's the best track in this compilation...
8.Liquid Space - ton box
ending track has just that emotion in it... its like a last track played on the dancefloor... takes you away with it's hookline and makes you dream, very nice structure and nice turkish/arabian voicesample... rounds this compilation up...
all in all it is good work by alex and all the artists, a nice to have CD which makes afternoons at home to a nice event
