so i was initially really interested in makin it out to this fest, then i guess i sorta got sidetracked by all the other fests goin on this summer, but now that i see their will by ott and vibrasphere in the lineup i'm definately there. also i just visited croatia for the first time last week and it is a truly magnificent country. |

Just be aware. Croatia had always a very strict politics towards illegal drugs.
This year there's a new law. Being caought smoking a joint can get you in prison up to five years.
No panic at the festival, but be very careful outside the festival's site. |

It's not in the EU yet:) Few more years to wait. Hopefuly soon, to skip the nasty border check. Cause it's a really a country of an amazing beauty.

Hi all, I just wanted to say how much I have loved being a part of the festival in Croatia. It's been the highlight of my summer for the last two years, and I have felt like I was spending time with friends, not just playing at a party.
I'm really sorry to not be able to make the festival this year, but I've had a number of "real life" issues which have affected me this year, and I've had to cancel shows due to my inability to make it financially sustainable. I've spent the last 3.5 years on the road, and unfortunately there is not enough money in the scene to pay chill out that I can expect touring to cover my bills. That being said, even though UWOG is a smaller festival they have paid me double what the big festivals have offered, and given incredible hospitality every time.
I will truly miss you guys this year, and hope there is a next year for me to make it up to you!!! |

this law will become valid in october!
and besides it only considers dealers and not consumers. If you have small ammount of any narcotic you will only be fined or given a small jail sentence (depending on how much you were caught with). So this law doesn`t regard possesion, only distribution.
but be cautious anyhow! you don`t need fuzz to ruin your holliday.

Redax please stop flaming the festival...you were saying nothing but praises on the first page and also on other forums and topics...now when you're no longer playing you decided to try and bash us to death...I honestly don't understand what the border issues with Croatia and Slovenia have to do with UWOG...
regarding the drug policy there have been no new laws passed on it and they certainly won't be passed in the middle of summer...drug laws here are pretty much like the ones in our neighbouring countries...
now please lets stick to talk about the festival and leave our disputes for another time and place

I searched around a bit regarding that whole drug law you people were talking about and managed to find an article about it in a newspaper...the thing is that they have passed a new law that can get you in jail for posession of drugs but only if they can proove you had the intention of selling it...which basicly means...you cannot get in jail if you have a joint on you...you can get in jail if you have tons of weed you intent to sell...I'm pretty sure that this law is no different than any other laws in the EU...after all we are trying to get into the EU so passing some new conservative laws would not get us any closer...

sorry you won`t be ale to play and visit us again  shame... well you will really have to make up for this years with at least 2x longer dj set and live next time you come here
