1)this text is taken from the last digital structures release digital emission which is great but its not the subject:the underground music industry has come to a crossroad and the next choice of path will determine the future existence of a broad musical spectra.
underground music is very often aimed at a small amount of people and with changing music over the internet and cd burning becoming globally accepted tools for obtaining music, the days of underground are numbered.
we therefore ask you to do a little thinking and see further than your desire to have music for free when the reality in a near future will be that there is no longer any underground music left.
artists and labels will go on to work with forms of art that are more respected and the people who want to shake their hips and loose themselves in a psychadelic experience on the dance floor will have to do so to a supply of music that has been greatly cut down.
so please take your ethics to a new level and help us move the musical movment into the right path for the future.
2)always remember"copying kills your music"
3)big thanks to nadi&the "domo stuff"           Always agressive never progressive.

interesting thoughts, but underground music will always exist because it is a binary opposite to mainstream, in other words without each other they may not be defined as such. fullstop.

He wasn't talking about that, he was talking about piracy.

I disagree Because of the simple fact that "piracy" (im talking only non-profitable one - MP3 sharing) only brings the music to more people to hear, being the best promotion ever!
anyway, if u liked the music you downloaded, you'll run and buy the CD / Vinyl or any other official media.
and if u were not planning to buy the cd anyway, you'll find other way to obtain it illeagally.
The True piracy is Selling burnt copies of music, and this should stop, not the sharing of files over the net.
The Sharing brought new live to music, being availble Worldwide in much larger quantities, making it possible to new bands be a sucsses before entering a label.

Agree .. and it is clear under the present circumstances no-one is prepared to agree on forward path .. we know an artist works too hard .. we know the label lose too much .. we know MP3's build an audience.. free copies = theft and e.t.c..

...what is the solution?

This thread may have been done a lot and some people may say 'oh not another..' but this is a very important issue and one which could bring very negative efects in the future long term..

However in the question of ethics we must also be careful not to be hypocrits.. for example whilst it could be wrong to burn cds and in the long run extinguish labels and artists.. but what about the artists who make all their music on 'crack' sequencers, fx etc.. and then expect people not to copy their work!
If you look at the bigger picture without the survival of these companies making the brilliant music making progs you would have no music as well

Psychedelic music is still so not popular. I mean, not many people know about it.
I'd like this kind of music to get more popular and better known, but there are those, who want to keep this music unknown, to make in "undergroud". They say, that before parties have been better, when there were fewer people there. And I think, that it's better for everyone when there are more people listening to psychedelic, 'cause more albums will be bought. And downloading mp3.. It'll always stay. All kinds of music can be found in the Internet, it's not only problem of psychedelic. But through the Internet you can get people to know this music, and then they probably will go to some music shop and buy something. And if you don't share with others, then psychedelic will die for sure. That's what i think...

I'm for downloading
