@oran
So, as always it comes to the same: it is a matter of taste and/or believes.

Correct me if I am wrong, the main issue(for you) here is word "underground" ?

As for 3rd empire, I am going to parties for 9 years, they (empire) make the best parties I have ever been to. (personal taste - nothing more, nothing less)
That's all.

P.S.
BOOM ! (chillum is coming to you)

i kind of agree my problem is not with the parties itself but evrything around it.

and if you are going to parties for 9 years im sure you can tell us(please do)the diffrences in promotion and other things.

things have changed throw the years some likes it some dont some just dont care.

once again,im not crying or bitching,i just dont like it when ppl pretend to be something they not.3 or for real underground parties per season is enough for me.

what i mention above is some of the reasons many old timers left this scene.

and just for the record, before ppl will start bashing me.

i wasn't the one who start to use the 3rd empire as an example. the fact that some of you "push" in that direction and feel the need to defende them, prove my point (imo)

VERY TRUE

Very good advise, I think Oran does that actually.

Personally I think that Oran has a point in what he says. The only thing that this thread is not really good with is about 3d Empire thingie, but I guess Borrris just couldnt help himself from saying his thing.

I dont think that 3d Empire is a bad thing on a contrary, this is the ONLY big even we have in our scene for good music, and where artists can get appreciation of 9 relatively ) big crowd. Having said that 3d Empire like Alice from wonderland passed the size of underground company and is totally serious and dedicated party organization.

The problem with year of 2005 in comparison to 2004 is that many real underground / undercover organizations stopped making events or seriously reduced the amount of the events.

There is far more to say about this subject but I will refrain from speaking and go to sit in chill air con studio, this is nicerrr

imo, because some of the big so called underground parties productions doesent give a chance to this smaller orgenizer's.and even some times do what we call "breaking the market".

Considering the meaning you are putting in the "underground", you're absolutly right.

And a lot of things definetly have changed.
(I can hardly imagine GuyShanti spinning today from minidisks in forest near Abu Gosh. )
Everybody has cell-phone now, internet in every place. Trance is a mainstream, it's on the radio, TV, schools, weddings, bar-mitzvas... etc.

Here I have nothing to say, cause I have no idea about "the market".
But may be it's evolution, "the strongest survives" and that kind of shit... dunno

exectly my point.that's why i belive that the ppl who stay with the old concept of "who need to know will know",make the real underground parties today.or what i call the non underground parties today is the underground version of 2005.

Oran

you think that in the past it was only the roumers who brought ppl to parties?
there were phone calls and other ways to do so.
SMS is easier, even though many ppl just use big lists. BUT - if you send it to ppl you know & collected yourself 1 by 1 - it can be a GOOD change from the past (YULI). Just for example (see oran? an example without 3rd empire).

YULI

I like your cenicizm.
Yes - there are many bad changes (world hunger is nothing I meant - though it existed even in the good days of underground trance parties).
There are allso lots of good changes. every one can look for them from his own point of view.

I think good small producers will find their way up - step by step. no big org' can stop them by doing big / great / bombastic / whatever parties.
it has nothing to do with it.

I think there are better times with more good underground parties, and times with less. I think you can find your way to connect to good things that exsist today in parties and not be bitter that the DJ doesnt play with MD and that you have a cell phone that recieve SMS.           Follow the footsteps ...

3rd.if you collected evry phone number on your sms list how come i just got one from you.i dont remember i have ever gave you my phone number.or is it my bad memory again.(damn chillums)

Guess I got it from a common friend.
I even guess I know who he is .
And I dont think that the fact you got an SMS sais anything bad about me.
I dont work alone - I have partners, had in the past, you know one of them I think (actually i'm sure).

as much as I try to specifie my answer to you it sounds more niggling (katnuni) to me.
I think the parties I made so far as Senka can tell about my intentions & not like you're trying to prove i'm full of shit with that SMS example.

Oran, just one small remark.

This summer there are less "Underground" parties also cause some underground promoters have decided that they can't lose any more money doing quality underground events. sorry but I'd rather go to a less "underground" party with a good soundsystem and some good music then to a true "underground" party with 2 distorted monitors and a DJ that has no idea what he is doing on the decks.

as to investing 30K NIS just to make their frineds happy, I'm sorry to tell you but if you tally our financal results over the last 2 years, even if you exclude our independence fiasco, we still have invested more money into the scene from our pockets then vice versa.
