If underground is a word for bad music, all psytrance is bad music, all electronic music is bad music, and hell, everything that isn't Britney Spears is bad music (and yes, her songs have better production than Son Kite's tracks).
Someone saying that underground is a bad word in a scene that by it's size (I'm not going to talk about anything else in the scene as it's usually something debatable) is underground no matter how much you try and explain it - well, it's ridiculous. Allow me to demonstrate:

Kaz your example is not suited here.
Psychedelic Music is an underground music in terms of global music,we all know why it is like that.
What i said in my original post is very specific and talks about certain things,your example set these things apart.
I am not talking about releases here,i am talking about low quality music characterised by its creator as underground because of its failure to release it anywhere (i mean anywhere not real label like Sony or Warner) or its failure to get accepted by anyone on this planet except the producers friends ofcourse....

Again - this is a matter of musical taste.
Aphex Twin's friends opened a label for him to release music since no one would touch it - the sound quality was considered terrible, the melodies lacking any complexity, the production worse than amaturish, and the music just generally unlistenable - it sounded like some kid making weird and unconnected noises in a basement, how did he expect anyone to release it?
Today Aphex sells more than most musicians in the electronic music world, and is considered the greatest genius in the history of electronic music by many.
Most people will listen to Son Kite and say that their music sucks. That doesn't mean that they're right. An even smaller minority thinks that some of the tracks you're talking about is THE real thing. So, either they're all with the same terrible taste, or perhaps it's just that you don't like it.

taste is taste no matter how you want to characterize it.. and not all producers thrive on getting there music released on the next skazi's most wanted CD.. There are alot of great producers that don't send there stuff to labels and it doesn't mean they are failures or worse than any other artist that has released two albums on well established labels..
just a thought though.. don't lose sleep over what i just stated because im just participating in the discussion..

Psychedelic music or "psychedelic trance"? If you mean psychedelic music sure, but if you mean psychedelic trance (the genre) I disagree - as with all genres, some is underground & some is commercial

all of you are always try to explain complex occurrence as a simply thing. that's tendencies. if labels dont want to release my music i have to be completely dumb to think that reason for it is my music is bad. no, im pretty sure that im worth much more than labels can offer. music has many faces, it obvious every day people discover new ideas, never explored before. |

ALso, I remeber when Creamcrop records had something like this on their web:
"If nobody likes your music, send it to us, we'll love it for sure"
And they made one of the best labels ever |
