Don't install the DirectX version. If you load the Plugin Enabler, you'll see there's all kinds of fucked up "doubles" of all the Waves plugins loaded.
If you want to have the directX ones present for use in soundforge, don't install the VST version, and go through with the PluginEnabler tool and manually remove all the duplicate ones.
This is a bug in Logic's handling of the Waves DX plugins that will never be fixed.
People... ENOUGH with Logic 5.5 on PC's. It's over. You're using a program that is SIX YEARS OLD that will NEVER be updated again. If you love Logic, buy a Mac. If you have a PC and aren't switching, use Cubase or Fruity or any of the plethora of other programs out there. http://soundcloud.com/aeon604

Bollocks.
A sequencer is just a sequencer. Logic 7 or a Mac will not make better tunes for you. And Logic 5 is more than enough to make belters on. Me>You |

... not six, 3.5 years.
But anyhow, the funny thing when you point this out, is how Logic for me is far more superior than any other sequencer on the PC till this day! And it works and works and works.... loyal and more than enough.

Humm could you name some things where it is superior?
I would agree with u all until 1 year ago...Now I changed to Cubase and I really see Aenon´s point, and totally agree.
And yes, go search my old posts and you´ll see I am quite a Logic freak myself also...I would still work prefer logic over cubase if it was 7.0 but I do think Cubase Sx 3 is superior than Logic in many ways.
I do hate Cubase Automatation and the way it makes the midi tracks separate from the vst, Logic is much more "logic" hehe in this aspect
But in the end it always comes down to how you know your way around your sequencer and yes, sometimes its better to work with a sequencer with least functions but that you are very confortable with, than with a better one where you take ages to do things if you´re not confortable with. I know of producers who still use Cakewalk to produce and their music rocks quality wise! Other producers still use ATARI platforms...!
But I really don´t like Macs, and its not because I can´t work with them, I can, my dad is a MAC maniac, I´ve had Mac computers at home since the very first one! (still have it, must be worth some bucks now ). But I would never replace my PC! Others that feel the same way should maybe start thinking about Aenon´s advice...or are u planning to use Logic 5.5 forever?

I am using this crappy software for 4 years, have already released a crappy cd with this crap and i am in love with its crappy enviroment and mixer.
If i had the money i wouldnt go for a crappy G5 ,since it has some more crappy functions.
So i would suggest u that if u like it use it.

fluosamsara, I guess u've answered ur own question - Logic is superior in those things that I need most in the tool I'm using. And since you used it too, then you know those stronger sides...
I'm not trying to start participating in some silly sequencer war again or the pc vs mac war - I was just a little bit overwhelmed by Aeon's remark about masochism and Logic...

logic is the best for musicians. it transforms all midi into score with 1 click and that makes it usefull for any musician or teacher, besides the midi implementation is the best around in any program.
