anyone has any experiences about it?
sooo stupid my notebook has no firewire port.....

heard that the adapter needs a texas instruments chipset for proper working.

that on xp sp2 some advanced tweaking is needed for the integrated firewire ports to work at more than 100mbps because the guys at windows where so smart that engineered an architecture where firewire ports share IRQS (by the way what is the IRQ ??) with other hardware periferals that eventually disturb the proper operation of the firewire ports: is that problem affecting also pcmcia adapters?

would an express card firewire adapter do the job?

would the mk3 ukltralite work good on the 1394b (9 poles) port of an adapter card
