we're not allowed to have any fun in this country - there is know way you would get away with anything like Boom or samothraki, but we have small things going on - well liquid wasn't exactly small but if u wanna look at it in comparisson to the big festivals, also the weather sucks ass - bu then it do's in norhtern germany as well (Voov) - i think its mainly cause you would never get away with it - it would be considered a rave and a bad thing for the youth of today:)

Fair enough, but are their any laws against these festivals? their cant be cuz their are festivals such as reading and glastonbury.

I reckon that if it was well organized, like sticking up to the law i reckon that it would be possible.

It would be great to have a big festival in England, the english scene is a very good scene and i reckon that ppl deserve it

i think the chances of you getting a license toi do somthing like boom etc.. would very slim, and i think these licenses are extremly expensive over here - it would make the price so much, but the free parties that happen aren't bad at all - was at a free party last summer, and raja ram was there, posfird monro and benjin vaughn and someone form drgaonfly i think - anyone else form the uk go to that party down by bournmouth last summer - one of the best ones i've ever been to! bring on the summer!

I don't think the psy scene on its own is big enough to support the costs you need to do a legit festival - but Britains got a very broad underground scene.

In fact I think that one of the UK scenes strengths is that (maybe outside of London) people who go to a psy trance party would also go to hard trance or acid techno party - probably lots to do with UKs party scene history (raves, free festivals etc rather than just people coming back from goa). This would probably explain the post earlier where a visitor to Bristol thought it was all pretty full on for 1am. I was there the week before for Ripsnorter (a hard trance night) and probably lots of the same crowd went to both.

I like psy-trance (obviously - otherwise I wouldn't be on here) - but can find three-five days of it a bit much - its nice to have variety. In the Uk there is lots of music that is psychedelic but not what you'd call psy-trance. If you ever hear DJs like Beamish & Oberon they are playing trance and techno that is psychedelic but very far removed from what today is very narrow genre of psy-trance.

For work reasons I didn't go to the Megadog fetstival a few years back - but everyone who went said it was really good and I think that sort of festival would probably be the way forward and be able to draw a big enough crowd to support all the thinge you need to do to do it legit in the UK.

end of ramble!

The weather in England is really amazing for a wonderful outdoor party.......but the authorities fuck up the entire scene !....
There is no place for peace gathering....this is weird man !....

But lets keep the culture alive by partying and making it a peaceful affair !...

Hari Om !
