Hi everybody,
I am chacking in some forums, trying to get all the info i can about this combo.
Does anybody has here Uad2 Solo Laptop runing on the new model(black screen) macbook pro 2.56?
I am going to buy this uad for my laptop and i had alrady issues with my fireface400 wich didnt worked good with the laptop due to a problematic firewire chipset, and had to replace the rme..
so beffor buying the new uad2 mobile does any body had some issues with this setup? and known problems?

sorry this isnt answering your question but what problems did u have with the ff400....as i was gonna pick this up along with new mbp.....

well the first models that came out late 2008 (i bought mine in november) had a diffrent chipset of the fire wire , they used cheeper one, not texas instruments like in the older models mbp , wich didnt work well with the fire face, it was just getting the hdst light on each time some audio would play and crush, but another fire wire card i use was working perfectly, the problem was only with the ff400.

Dude how do you had a Fireface 400 in new Macbook pro if this new Mac dont have firewire 400? only 800.
And about your question the UAD2 laptop is not beeing delivered at the moment, they annouced this product at NAMM but it seems they are having some issues about it, i dont know. check the uad forum, they say it gonna be at stores only in july or something.. |

Oh right i forgot the adapter, and i also forgot u could connect the fireface via expresscard.
About the Uad solo im telling you its on shops for u to buy but they are not delivering yet...
From the site u posted:

Its like this on every retailer, thats why no one have that combo.. |
