Hi chaps, we plan to buy an UAD card. There are many different bundles with plugins to buy. Which bundle would you recommend?

so whats your budget?

I would recommend a Duo Flexi Pack or the Quad if you have enough money of course. But go for a flexi pack you will need the voucher believe me!!!

you will have a 14 days testperiod for every plugin so you can decide what you like....what I can recommend is the Cambridge(breed and butter eq)the Neve 88RS (very clear)the Neve 1073 and Helios EQ (for the mojo, colorfull)also I like is the VCA VU ,Roland RE-201 and the Moogfilter....

dreamverb is actually my biggest disapointment on the uad package.. anyway, the moog filter sounds fattt (i dont have it), re-201 is great for strange crazy pink floydish stuff, neve 88 rs is amazing channel strip, fairchild is great comp for synths, and cambridge is probably one of he best soft eq out there....           myspace.com/megaka

Maybe you should discuss your reverbfindings with Timbaland & Trend Reznor instead of us poor Joe's           http://www.soundcloud.com/bandarlog

well offcourse its not on the same league. 80$ against 2000-5500$ but im just saying i heard monsters synths that software can compare to at some things, but when it comes to reverb i guess its a different story... maybe the problem is in my technique but i tend to experiment a lot with softwares... when you hear that long smooth tail reverb, or those short "natural" and light reverb on percusion you just wish to have that quality... its all about the money i guess           myspace.com/megaka

yeah well I think you are able to tweak the dreamverb in such a detailed way you come close to your expectations about reverbs. Maybe I'm lucky I haven't heard those monsters yet.           http://www.soundcloud.com/bandarlog

I actually end up using the UAD Plate 140 more than the Eventide H8000 reverbs, so just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's always the best.           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

And the versatility of 10 reverbs simultaniously is not comparable to hardware           http://www.myspace.com/fragletrollet
