How does it compare to other, native EQ's?
i have the UAD-1, am thinking about getting it, wondering.

It's supposed to sound a lot better than most native eq's and i read some reviews that said it's about the same as the Sony-Oxford eq for Powercore, but sounds warmer and less clinical. This is probably what you already know, but maybe it helps. If you buy it, post your findings: i'm thinking about getting it too

I find it quite warm also , have played around with it for 2 weeks now , Imo it responds very fast and with a nice clear touch on the freq's .
I had it as standard in the package so dont know the price for the plugin as addon , but i can tell you that i have atleast one or two camb's running ( and ofcourse the almighty fairchild  ) in evry new project of mine .

Uad-1 Cambridge Roxx
The price is $150 US... Oxford EQ sounds better(its the best to me)but the Cambridge is pretty close and IMO has a much better interface than Sony´s!!
Uad-1 is a great value these days,i recommend everyone that wants to buy a TC poco to wait at least 1 or 2 monthes,TC is screwing things up lately..
So Uad-1 is a great choice !! |

yeah, theres the Faichild too! Gawd i want them all.....
anyone whants to buy my grandmother?
