over here in my studio this past weekend my roommate broke the Technics 1200's out of his closet and hooked 'em up after 3 years of dormancy. i'm surprised the needles still had tips on 'em.
needless to say I spent about 3 hours on saturday night going from 94 matsuri's and the first year of flying rhino's mixed with what used to be the bomb ass 3dVision singles. Duuuuude, Droidsect's Invasions from Outer Space, Hux Flux's "bring your own Bios", Prana's Boundless Black Cat RMX. wow, i think we need to do an old school night out here in cali soon. This is the stuff that inspired me to make my own music and its scary how the tones and shredding leads 10 years ago creep into our new-skool stuff.
oh the memories.
definitely record the sets and put up some links for us moldy oldy fockers!!!!

i have the droidsect - 'invasion from outerspace' on vinyl too, though its from this decade (2001) so idk if you can call it old school. sounds like rockin' modern psy-tarnce to me  full speed, plenty of squarbles to go around.
but dangggg do frequencies above 12kHz sound soooo nasty on these platters, esp after been played out a bunch :/ the cyber psy timbres hit wax and turn to crust, eek!

I didn't care for alot of 3d-vision stuff (too-GMSy) back then, but definetly that droidsect, plus the Wizzy Noise - Dark Cities EP. you'd never know it was the same progcheese wizzy from today...

It will be odd not having "Vitamin C" dancing and playing whale sounds, we should really try the live stream idea.
I just pulled TAMAS out of storage. It is the lowest of the three Gunas and I think I can handle the distortion of understanding that binds us to illusions this time around. I have had a blast over the last few weeks reviewing the old sound and I can't wait for this weekend. I hope the cake "glows"..

It will definitely be old school set up including old banners by Kri and me and a few other friends.
