10 years ago? there weren't huge numbers of psy trace parties in '93 mate i can assure you! and the reason there are not so many parties in clubs at the moment is because it is summer and people rather go to outdoor parties.. but these are usually hush hush so you need your ear to the ground if you are going to find them...           >>love will tear us apart...<<

There is quite a bit of psy trance stuff that does go on outside London - though mainly on a smaller scale.

I'd probably say that psy trance is more popular than ever in London - outside of London its never really been in or out of fashion.

As Tom says - theres not much club stuff on just now as everyone is outside - but if you fancy some non London "mad high energy psychedelic techno" as someone once described Zoggs music - or Hyperdelic Trance Techno as we decribe it - then theres the last Planet Zogg of the summer at the Arches in Sheffield on Fri 11th July

for info.

cheers

I don't how I feel about london & UK, I suppose people never think thier contries scene is the best!

For sure the scene has spread, like any scene. People say to that the LONDON scene has become smaller,I don't think it has got smaller, I just think the rest of the world has overtaken it. Not in all ways mind you!

London used to be a Pillar in the psy trance world, Now there are ten times as many promotors and 10 times as many artists around the world. London has peaked for the scene we have today, Unless there is a dramatic change in popularity, we will stay like this.

Now you will se smaller parties poping up around the Uk in places that you had forgoten existed....This is growth,Iys no good for london, but good that people are trying to get involved!

I suppose I have been over exposed to the Uk scene. my opinion maybe warped. But I still like it here!

Plus we have Fish and chip shops so in your face ! ha ha ha

Ten years ago we did have brilliant parties like: Gambo, A.C.I.D., Pangaea, Pagan, Ahimsa, Tip, Boom.
But things change and now parties are good too.
I personally think that the criminal justice bill in 1996 has changed a lot of things in the UK.
The promoters l have mentioned above wouldn't want to risk and all stopped throwing parties, some of them do not live in the uk anymore.
Finding a decent venue remains a problem in the UK.
l do think the scenes in Bristol and Brighton are good and it does grow slowly in other places too.
Next killer outdoor on the 12th of july for the fullmoon, please check: "party promotions" in the forum
