We all shape our sound to our liking, so we all care about it, indirectly and unconsciously. That's how our ears are built after all.

these guys have detected that the human ears can t hear all different frequ's playd at a certain level at the same loudness.

other words:

i.g.

u play 100 hz at 60 db, and 3000 hz at 60 db
---> the ear means that the 100 hz are louder...

they came to the result that at approx 85 the ear is the flattest, so ideally we should do the mix at 85 db...

--> but for me 85 seems to be already loud...don t u crash the ears ?!?

cause of that i liked to know if anybody care about.

KITNAM:

..i ve read a bit about it, and i really belive that it does matter, but i ve to study more...
also the fact that the earth is "pumping" around 3 till 8 hz (...around that level, not shure...) hsa also some influences...oscillations/waves are soooo faszinating and if u comprise it with neurologie...whoooosh, u gonna crazy...hehe

@medi

its very interesting study about this.
search at http://www.google.de for it.
keyword: "hemi sync"

a friend of mine studies medicine
i got the tip from him... he talked
about serious brainwave-stimulation-sciences
and experiments.. its also a connection
to shamanic drum-rituals which are usually
one drum and just one boom at about 70 BPM (as far as i know)...
so when u go and make some mathematics
between the bpm and the frequences and
the hemi-sync parameters...u will see
whats the point there is
go deeper!

yeah, there is a connection, it must...(...sorry eugene, chk mail )

about shamanic drum-rhytms:

it depends on the culture, they are between
3 - 7 hz (180 - 400 bpm )
this may sound fast, but listen to djembe-players: they ve got easily 200 bpm...
a rhythm which fits into certain "brain-waves" and makes "everyone" fall in trance.

...i asked me if cause of this the trk-tempo is on the increase...
but with the percussion/melodies we are already today in it ( 140 bpm x > 2 = >4,7 hz )

---> also trks under 70 bpm but with fast perc. could be (...accordingly to todays neurological results ) very psychedelic ...the thing/part we have to reveal is to find the "special" frequencies ( 20-20000 hz for our ears ) and combine them.
...and then there are also natural rhythms ( humans, astrological, plants,...) which could be helpful too...

...i m also at very low knowledge...and it gets hard to explain on e..., i belive to that...but it may need many many years....with music u can do more than whith each substance taken oral, if the ears and the "functionality" of the body is ok...

...i know, this happens to me very times...sorry

now what if peoples speakers are different too????
to make the fletcher/munson theorem work you must have state of the art gear,an acoustic controlled environment and good ears.
theory i one thing, the real world another.
the bottom line is: if it sounds good it is good!           Mastering available here:
