Yes, i'am understood that every track is different, but
dummy question:
what are typical track contents?
I'am using Reason 2.5
I try to use : kick , open hit-hat, share (all from ReDrum patches), bass (from SubTractor patches) and try to experiment with SubTractor for leading sound...
But when i compare my "track" with any other...
I think that i'am FULL dummy...
Please, share a little your secret...
What instruments i need to make psy-sound track???

What else kick,bass,hithat,share,lead?

its not written anywhere.

do what u think sounds great. as for my part, i like to use very short snippets from samples, which arent necessarily made for percussions. sure there is always a (some) hihat(s), snare(s), kick and bass, but the other things around them are variable.

make a little experiment!!

happy x-perimenting !!

You can't make a track by only the drum beat and a lead sound.
You gotta have lots of effects, such as delay and reverb and such to give depth and continuness to the sound, and you also need background sounds such as bleeps, twinkles, etc.
You should also try adding strings in the background, they give a full sound to the track.

Best way is taking a favorite track, take 5 seconds you like from it, listen to them over and over again and analyze it. Then try to create the same thing yourself.

maybe the reason isn't the best way of getting known with synthesis because the synts are quite lame in it. I use reason myself so I'm not mocking it but the synths in reason don't act like most of synths. or atleast those have quite strange curves in f.ex. filter and resonance

Thanx!
Now i use SyncModular... maybe later reactor.
Modular synt help to understand HOW sound produced, and where you must change parameters
it's more powerfull
now i use granulizer - to get somthing like suria
but steel far away from happy

The only way to learn the process is by making mistakes, even the silly ones will slowly get u in the right way. Reason is a ok program, but if i were u I would follow the advice that Serotonot give u and just don`t give up. You will see that music by music, instrument by instrument, effect by effect you will start to have more knowledge for your upcoming ideas

hope that helpd...

about what questions are you talk?
Sorry, but i'am not quite understand you

But i wanna say:
yesterday i play with my syncmodular...
and suddenly i'am understand following: even only kick with bass may be VERY IMPRESSIVE....
Every instrument must be in conjuction with each other.

I need to control FULL process of born of every sound...

how many time you spend before you write track that you like?

If you think typical , you get a typical track.

i think what they're talking about is this:

Quote:

they think (rightly) that it is silly to answer a question like this - the fx and weird noises you hear in psytrance tracks are unique, or at least should be, you can make them in millions of ways, and the true beauty of these noises is to make them yourself in a process of discovery.

honestly - just mess about wildly with any equipment or software you have, and when you hear something good, use it!

that is a very good realisation to have at this early stage. it took me a long time to realise that. i think you will be able to do this but it may take some time...

i've been producing over 5 years now, only in the last 6 months or 1 year have i mean making remotely "professional" sounding tracks. certainly i dont think you will get to the point where you can easily recreate any noise you hear in your head, any time quickly. this takes a lot of practice.

but practice is fun, and the learning curve can be speeded up a lot now that there are forums like this.

good luck           http://www.dartrecordings.co.uk/
